The staff is great. The hotel itself is a little bit of out the way but there is a free shuttle that will take you all around Cripple Creek. When we were there, the internet was down, then the credit card machine was done and the pool was closed. All minor things that we got over. They are doing a... More

We went to Cripple Creek for the Ice Festival and decided to stay at the Gold King Mountain Inn. Nothing fancy, but nice clean rooms, with a microwave and small refrigerator. We asked about their specials when booking and they told us about the "Stay & Play" deal which included a Free Breakfast for 2 and a Crab Legs &... More

This hotel is located on the hillside in the Cripple Creek valley. It does not have a restaurant, casino, bar or a breakfast set up. If you want any of these, you will have to hop in their van for a trip down the hill to the center of town. The room was okay; it was clean. It was an... More

I was pleasantly surprised with the Gold King Mountain Inn. We took advantage of a comped room and since it was free we certainly can't complain. The room itself was clean but very dated. Carpet is worn, etc. We were on the first floor and didn't have a problem with smoke smell or noise. Service was very good. The air... More

This hotel hasn't been updated since the 70's or 80's (not bad if you pay 50) but for 120 too expensive for what you get. The hotel does not have a restaurant, bar or casino they are all located where you have to take a shuttle and there shuttle is a minivan. Poor hotel setup would be better to be... More

This place has the look of a chain hotel from the past that has been rebranded. Another reviewer stated it was originally a holiday inn express. Rooms are basic but fairly large. It has a large indoor pool with a jacuzzi/ hot tub attached to it. It is owned by the wildwood casino which is a five minute walk down... More

We were stuck in the town and needed a room. The hotel said they had one left but they would have to charge us extra since it was a busy week. Then the front desk asked us which room we wanted when we arrived. The money we spent for this horrible room we could have stayed at a Sheraton or... More

Don't stay here. The rooms are not like the web site pictures. When we made reservations we made them based on the Wildwood casino pictures. The hotel is not in the casino and is IPA the Hill above the Wildwood casino. The rooms are terrible. After checking in we went to town and checked out the rooms at the double... More

The staff at the GKMI is incredibly friendly and informative. They answered every question and called restaurants to see if they were open and serving certain menu items. They are also dog friendly!!! We would have rated higher but there were a lot if smokers that had stayed at the same time or in rooms near our "non-smoking room" which... More

My wife and I always stay here. The ownership has changed over the years as well as the name ,but it's run very well. I,m in there pool everyday its indoors and surprisingly big. It's busy and the folk who stay are friendly.Just good vibes. The shuttle to town is free and you call for a ride to and fro. If you...
