My husband and I have frequently stayed at this charming and beautiful place. Each room has a historical theme to it based on a famous person. This old schoolhouse was renovated into a smart and chic boutique style hotel. The proprietors have traveled the world and are gracious enough to share treasures of their travels with those who stay here... More

I went to Carr Manor on a job assignment. It turned out to be a wonderful mini vacation for myself. The owners, Gary and Winni are unbelievably kind and service oriented. They made me feel at home and very special. Winni fixed breakfast for me 2 days and Howard, their Inn keeper and his wife, made breakfast for me on... More

I felt the historical charm of this place the moment I walked through the door. The innkeepers, Howard and Lynda, are very friendly and hospitable. Howard immediately offered to give me a tour of the building, pointing out the original features and "schooling" me on it's history. We stayed in the Jack Dempsey room, which was spacious and spotlessly clean.... More

Here’s an interesting use for an old school: instead of tearing it down, turn it into a “manor”. This makes for lots of rooms, on two floors, and spacious gathering-spots, including the breakfast-room. Howard and Lynda are your mature hosts. The effusive Howard makes the small but gourmet breakfasts. Demand his mascarpone French toast! This Inn (or large B and... More

It's a classy and charming B&B that is a high school from 1890. We stayed in one of their suites and we very comfortable. The manager asked our tastes in breakfast and we told him that we usually didn't eat breakfast but liked to indulge in pancakes. He said he only liked to do egg breakfasts. Okie dokie then. The... We had the entire place to ourselves. We love this old high school turned B&B. The owners and staff are so nice and helpful. Each room has a different theme and chalk boards for leaving your own mark on the hotel.

A charming well kept and clean establishment with friendly staff. Had a delightful prepared quality breakfast presented with art of love by the Chef. Had a chance to view the individual rooms and each are charming and clean. The owners have done a great job of making this old school house into a 4 star Bed and Breakfast. Will stay... More

I took some friends from out of town to see the ice sculptures and went for a bite to eat after. When we came out of the restaurant it was snowing. We decided to head back to canon city. Not even halfway there, there were several cars blocking the road because they couldn't make it up the hill. We picked... More

My husband and I enjoyed our anniversary at the Carr Manor. We enjoyed this visit just as much as our first visit. We had an amazing massage by Sandy. Rooms where great, clean and nice change to a standard hotel room. This Bed and Breakfast has a lot of character! We'll visit again soon!

My wife and I recently stayed at Carr Manor. This wasn't our first stay there and we have previously had nothing but positive experiences, however this experience wasn't so good. We didn't complain, however the owner sent me an email after our visit and invited comments, good or bad, so we took the opportunity to explain why our stay wasn't... More

Please accept my apologies, for replying to your email in a way that offended you. That was not my intent. As I said in my email to you. You raised a valid concern that the ambient light in room 1 was disturbing to you. With over 10 years of renting this room, there have been a few that have expressed... More
