We spent two nights here on our trip to catch the fall colors in the Rockies. It was our first visit to Cripple Creek. The rooms were easy to access once you were in the hotel and the casino and restaurant were just off the elevator. Main street was under re-construction while we were here making it a little more... The place is a great value for your money. If you get just 100 base points on your player card (easy to do), dinner is free. Breakfast is free (up to $10 but all menu items within price range) when you stay. The staff is awesome!! There is a deli with all kinds of hot foods open till 2:00 am.... More

Other than the parking confusion, This was a really nice place. The rooms are small but really nice and comfortable. Breakfast was free and terrific. It was a wonderful little experience and I would do it again at any time. Loved this.

I stayed here and had the Friday night seafood buffet. I was puking within an hour after eating almost nothing of the most disgusting looking buffet I've ever seen.. No seasonings in the kitchen and I highly doubt any refrigeration. Anyone that would serve food like this to a human being is literally saying I hate you and I wish... More

We parked in the parking garage. It's not connected to the hotel except by a sidewalk. We entered on the ground level and sought the check-in desk. We were told it's on the 1st floor. We thought we were on the 1st floor! Oh! we're on the lower level!? 1st floor is one level up. Well then that would be... More

I took my husband here for his birthday this weekend. All we could get was a smoking room with a king size bed. Apparently because the casino was giving away a car they were all booked. I can't complain about the smoke smell, since it was a smoking room. However, we were not the only people who had to settle... More

We have stayed at other casino/hotels in Cripple Creek, and we were not impressed. So the Double Eagle was a nice surprise! The rooms were ok, but clean and quite. I am not sure if it was quite due to lack of guests or good insulation. The TVs are really out dated and somewhat blurry. Luckily, we weren’t there to... More

The rooms aren't fancy, the beds are not the softest, the food while good in not gourmet. However I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Me and 5 of my girlfriends stopped her for two days last week and the staff here could not be more friendly and accommodating from the girls at the front desk to the guy... More

I like gambling at the Double Eagle so went ahead and booked a room for a weekend night in October for $95.00. Room was nice enough, basic and clean and we got a decent night of sleep. Breakfast was included in our rate, and we were told the "credit" for breakfast would be on our player card. The next morning... More
