Stayed at this "hotel" on new years eve 2015. Structure was a hospital back in the old Gold Rush Days of Cripple Creek. All of the rooms are named as hospital rooms, eg, Maternity, Reception, Nursery, ICU, etc.. We stayed in "The Nursery." Quite small but very nice, had it's own private bath. Staff here is superb with someone on... More

I travel to Cripple Creek often and just discovered this jewel. The prices are great, the rooms quiet, comfortable, very clean and historically cool. Mary, the manager, was friendly, very knowledgeable an enthusiastic about the rich history of the hotel. Stay here instead of the monotony of the casinos.

Love, LOVE this place. It is an old hospital and the rooms are all named with hospital terms. The Operating Room is actually the old operating room and you can see where the doctors used a foot pump to turn on the water so as not to contaminate their hands! The rooms are so charmingly decorated with period appropriate decor.... More

If you are headed to Cripple Creek this is the best place to stay. Hotel is very nice and full of history. Just a short walk from Bennett Ave. and the mountain air up there will make you feel good. We will definitely stay there on our next visit.

This place was sooo cool. It's just beautiful and the location is so peaceful and scenic. I cannot adequately describe the feeling you get when you arrive here but you feel suspended in time and in a very special place. I've stayed in several B&Bs and this place was so authentic. It's just cool. The front desk folks are awesome.... More

Great and friendly people, rooms and hotel have great character. Good breakfast. Enjoyed the stay. The hotel is a few minutes drive from the centre of town which is only casinos. Could walk but very hilly.

Enjoyed the stay but definitely lacking modern amenities like private in room bathroom. Staff was nice retrieving ice and ironing board. Carpet was pretty dirty. Shuttle service to the casino was great. There are not a whole lot of places to stay but did enjoy the time here.

Staying at the Cripple Creek Hospitality House & Travel Park truly is reliving history. We appreciate your review and are working hard with continuous improvements, which include new carpeting as one of our priorities. A quick clarification, all rooms available through on-line booking channels have private bathrooms. This includes Convalescent - room 20, which has a private bathroom (with keys... More

It would be nice to have a separate review for the RV park and the hotel - but here as well as the park itself, it seems to be an afterthought. The gravel roads are okay, and the gravel sites are mostly level. The hookups are convenient, however the hookups next door were uncomfortably close to our entry and table... More

We consider the Travel Park an added amenity to our awesome historic Hotel, which was originally constructed as the Teller County Hospital. The Travel Park was added in the early '60s after the Hospital, built in 1901, was converted to a hotel. Operating both a Hotel and Travel Park does require a very quick verification of the guest's reservation (at... More

Cripple Creek is rife with historic charm of the forgotten West. Most "boom" towns have been paved over, completely redone, or fallen apart completely. This lovely hotel mimics the overall feel of the town in that they've salvaged a delightful old building (a hospital) and turned it into something magical. They've done a great job keeping as much as the... More

We recently held a Reunion at the Hospitality House in Cripple Creek, CO and I can't tell you how perfectly the whole event was handled! The actual building is very historical as it used to be the hospital for the region in the early 1900's. Each room still has the name over it as to what it was when the... More
