I enjoyed everything about this place. The beds were comfortable. The rooms were clean. The bus stop was just outside the backdoor! Ten minutes to the hill for some skiing. The breakfast was fresh and coffee was hot! I recommend requesting a humidifier. The high mountain altitude and dry air can be quite un comfortable for some. It will help... More

My wife and I stayed at the Old Town Inn on a ski trip right before Christmas and had a great time. The hotel is not large, the rooms are small, and the beds are average, but the staff, services, and amenities more then make up for it. Though the rooms are small, they are clean and comfortable. The rooms... More

We stayed three nights beginning on Christmas night. The staff was helpful, and they obviously love working there! We always felt welcome. The location is walking distance to a grocery store which was nice because we were able to pick up some snacks and dinner one night when we were just too exhausted from our daytime adventures to go out... This is a nice independent hotel just on the edge of downtown Crested Butte. We were greeted by a very pleasant gentleman who welcomed us and made suggestions for where to have dinner in town. Our room was on the second floor (no elevator) and it was large and nicely decorated. The room had a flat screen TV, good wi-fi,... More

We stayed here this past weekend and fell in love with the charming atmosphere and exceptionally sweet staff. The price was reasonable, staff endearingly friendly and rooms clean and comfortable. The bed was firm and the room was dark, quiet and quickly warmed up when we put the heater fan on. Breakfast starts at 6 a.m. with many choices and... More

We stayed here last-minute, but I'm so glad I experienced this lovely place. The room was very clean, and big, and the beds and pillows were among the most comfortable I've experienced, ever!! That's always a bonus. Good breakfast in the morning, super-friendly staff, and a quick walk to everything in town. Highly recommend!

If you want to stay "in town" and walk to everything within 10 to 15 minutes I highly recommend this lovely motel. The breakfast was great and even included lovely little baked egg casseroles along with a very extended continental breakfast. The front desk was very helpful in making the reservation and helping us find hiking trails, etc. This place... More

Our family of 4 stayed at Old Town Inn last week and had a great experience. The room was clean, and the vanity/sink was separate from the bathroom/shower, which was a big plus. Breakfast featured local organic coffee from Camp 4 Coffee, hard boiled eggs, fruit, pastries, bagels. There wasn't any peanut butter for the bagels, nor was there milk... More

The main reason we stayed here is location near downtown, i.e. walking distance. This is an older, well used inn but the rooms are clean with standard/average amenities. Apparently this is one of the few lodging places in Crested Butte with air conditioning. Rooms have old wall units which worked but never got super cold. The bed was comfortable although... More

Clean, comfortable, quiet. Friendly, helpful front desk staff. Due to car problems, we arrived late, so they left our keys on the counter along with a welcome note. Breakfast buffet was good (fresh fruit, quiche, bread, English muffins, pastries) and complimentary coffee and tea seemed to be available all day. Easy walk to everything in town so we didn't have... Official Description (provided by the hotel)
If the mountains are whispering your name, give us a call. The Old Town Inn makes a great home base for your Crested Butte adventures, wild or civilized. The inn offers all the amenities of a traditional hotel, but feels more like a bed-and-breakfast or European inn, where guests are welcomed like family. Here you can launch your day’s adventure with a hearty Continental breakfast and end it with home-made cookies and treats and a luxuriant soak in our outdoor hot tub. Though we offer one of the best lodging values in Crested Butte, we take excellent care of our guests. Our 33 rooms are spacious and spotless, most with two queen-sized beds (or ask about our king rooms or suite if you prefer). Rooms feature cable television with HBO, phones with voice mail messaging, wireless Internet access and daily housekeeping service. We also provide guest laundry facilities and fax service. We are located at the entrance to Crested Butte, right next to the Town Park, Center for the Arts, movie theater, grocery store and restaurants. We’re just a short walk from historic downtown’s shops and eateries and from cross-country skiing, hiking and biking trails. Just a few steps away, you can catch the free shuttle bus to the ski area. We’d love to be a part of your next mountain getaway. ... more   less
