Stayed at the Inn for a week during the Wildflower Festival this year. We chose this location since it was convenient to the festival activities (across the street). It was also within walking distance of all restaurants in the downtown area. The shuttle bus pick-up area is just a few steps from the parking lot. There are air conditoners in... More

The wonderful staff made each of us feel welcomed and that wasn’t easily done since there were about 44 of us. The morning breakfast was tasty and varied including lots of fresh fruit. Our group, Vail Club 50, went to Crested Butte for hiking, biking and a little bit of fun. The rooms were clean and adequately appointed. The beds... More

I traveled to Crested Butte in December of 2013 to propose to my then girlfriend, and Old Town Inn was a perfect place for this occasion. The staff were very nice and the night I proposed they surprised us with a couple of roses and amazing cookies. They made me feel welcome and made our stay very special. It's about... More

When I called Old Town Inn to check rates and amenities, Michael answers the phone. His demeanor was warm and pleasant. Michael truly had my best interest at in mind by asking if I had AAA to reduce my rate and suggesting other hotels when I asked about the proximity to Crested Butte Mountain Resort (which is only minutes away).... I have stayed here several times. Each time the service has been superb. I find overall this Inn is very good as excellent is a high bar and this is an older motel with all that entails. The rooms were clean but well used. The breakfast is decent but all carbs. This is just an observation not a complaint. For... More

Just like you want a motel - bed, bath, morning coffee, afternoon snack. It is true, the danish came from a Costco-like place, but they make their own quiche (from a mix, but check the room prices.) no elevator - view is better upstairs. Compared with the prices at other venues - this one is a gem.

Thanks for the nice review. We're glad you enjoyed your stay! I just wanted to clarify that our quiche is made from scratch here and not from a mix. More

Our family stayed there while skiing in Crested Butte. Clean, older, but well kept motel with very friendly staff. Free breakfast wirh variety of foods. Our kids enjoyed freshly baked cookies after day on the slopes. Free coffee and tea all day long. Not far from a shuttle to the slopes and the most unique ski town in Colorado :).... More

I've stayed here twice during the summer, most recently in July 2013. Awesome staff, great price, the rooms are clean and plenty adequate, even when a friend stayed with us for two nights and there was a total of three adults. I love, love, love this town in the summer and while I have no other hotel experiences to compare... More

This is a great place to find in Crested Butte. Good location, very clean rooms, really nice and attentive staff. Family or solo friendly. Like others, small rooms, small bathrooms, etc, but you get great service and its cozy and inviting.

A well located older inn with great breakfast, a friendly and competent staff. Our room was by the back stairs which was great, the inn not as close to the bus stop as I would have liked, as I don't like walking far in my ski boots, and carrying my skis. For apres ski it's awesome since it's close to... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
If the mountains are whispering your name, give us a call. The Old Town Inn makes a great home base for your Crested Butte adventures, wild or civilized. The inn offers all the amenities of a traditional hotel, but feels more like a bed-and-breakfast or European inn, where guests are welcomed like family. Here you can launch your day’s adventure with a hearty Continental breakfast and end it with home-made cookies and treats and a luxuriant soak in our outdoor hot tub. Though we offer one of the best lodging values in Crested Butte, we take excellent care of our guests. Our 33 rooms are spacious and spotless, most with two queen-sized beds (or ask about our king rooms or suite if you prefer). Rooms feature cable television with HBO, phones with voice mail messaging, wireless Internet access and daily housekeeping service. We also provide guest laundry facilities and fax service. We are located at the entrance to Crested Butte, right next to the Town Park, Center for the Arts, movie theater, grocery store and restaurants. We’re just a short walk from historic downtown’s shops and eateries and from cross-country skiing, hiking and biking trails. Just a few steps away, you can catch the free shuttle bus to the ski area. We’d love to be a part of your next mountain getaway. ... more   less
