As advertised, this is an inexpensive no frills historic hotel along the main street. We rented one of the rooms with a bath and although the room was small it was clean and the bed was comfortable. Because the hotel is on the main street there is more noise later in the evening, especially from the nearby bars. However, that's... More

Quaint historical hotel. Arrived and picked up the room key at the bar, there is no front desk. The stairs to the room were steep, but the hotel is over 130 years old. The room was small, nice queen bed, overlooks historian Elk street. A great place to explore Crested Butt from. Keep in mind there is no tv or... More

The location can't be beat being right on Elk and the price is right because of this. We thought the owner and staff were friendly. We agree that the rooms and halls are bit rundown. Our room was cleaned daily, which we weren't expecting but it was nice to have. Our comforter was pretty stained, which wasn't very pleasant though.... More

I booked the hotel because I wanted an authentic experience in the heart of Crested Butte. What me and my husband got was a dirty room, disgusting bathroom, non-existing service, and noise. The room was dusty and the carpet old and worn. I think the only clean amenity in the room were the sheets on the bed. The bathroom was... More

I'm sorry for your experience. We clean the shared bathroom several times a day. We are a very busy hotel and offer the best price in Crested Butte. We ask that guests notify management if the shared bathroom needs attention. We also have 3 rooms that have private bathrooms. More

Do every thing in your power to avoid this hotel. We didn't check Tripadvisor and we are sorry. The room was so small that the door hit the bed when we entered. We paid for a four star hotel and got a dorm room in a haunted house. The transom over the door was crooked and cracked, the window is... More

I'm sorry you did not enjoy your experience. We are a 2 star facility and guarantee the lowest rates in Crested Butte. The building was built in 1881 and is historic. We are limited in the amount of remodeling we can do but we make sure it's clean and comfortable. We are a very busy place and I encourage people... More

Let me start with the positives - the sheets/towels and sink/toilet were clean and we were given an extra hour to check out (needed to shower after a morning of mountain biking) but that's about all the good I can say about the stay at this historic hotel in Crested Butte. There is no check in desk - we had... More

We appreciate your input. We pride ourselves on cleanliness. A few rooms share a bathroom down the hall. We clean the bathroom several times a day. Please let us know if it needs cleaning. We only have 7 rooms therefore check in is in the restaurant. The noise problem has been mostly alleviated. Our neighbors moved their speakers that were... More

Location of this hotel is great, right in town. We had a small room with two twin beds. The bathroom was down the hall to be shared with other guests. The beds were clean and the bathroom was old but was clean too. That is all the positives I can say. The carpet in the hall and room was full... More

Run down and disheveled. When I arrived at 7p, note on door said restaurant was closed. No office or front desk. I called the number on my reservation and a man drove over to give me my room key, and abruptly left. He said the restaurant ran out of food so they closed. The street noise (people talking, arguing, cars,... More
