This was a small town experience and love the peace and quite of the well decorated rooms. Bathroom was a fascinations for us just like old times but little more modern than out door john. Comfortable bed and air conditioning in #2. Porch table and chair were nice for visiting. Oh yes and if we needed and ambulance just call... More

The Stone House is was charming stop along our journey around the West Elk Loop. A welcome break from camping in the West Elk Wilderness on our way to North Rim of Black Canyon. Left a message with the host and got a callback within minutes. This is the best ever jumping off point to the North Rim. The bed... More

Comfortable and relaxing. Stayed in room #3. Perfect spotless clean and well kept. Comfortable bed. Private deck overlooking canal. Quiet and no complaints. Enjoyed our stay and loved the Inn. Would definitely recommend!

Stayed here for a quick trip to the Black Canyon. It was neat and clean. Had to rely on a space heater for warmth. Couldn't watch T.V. Four legged tub was a little high for me to step in and out. Would have preferred better window coverings, particularly given the number of windows. Also had to lift up on door... More

This was the third time I've stayed at the Inn in the past ten years. We--my partner and our dog--stayed in room 1, and again enjoyed the experience. We were in Crawford to visit a long-time friend who lives about five miles south of the Inn. The only complaints I have are that the street noise from CSH 92 is,... More

My wife and I stayed in room #1 at the Stone House Inn for two nights while rock climbing in the Black Canyon of the Gunnison. The inn itself has a nice history in the small town of Crawford. Room #1 was small but clean, and very convenient for our visit to the north rim of the Black Canyon. Breakfast... More

We were going to be in the area looking for property and after a long hot day we came to this beautiful inn that I booked online. My family took two rooms each one unique and enjoyed the history of the rooms. This is a lovely little hideaway and will be staying here again so special we will even go... More

We planned a four night weekend getaway in Western Colorado in August and wanted to stay in the smaller towns, rather than Montrose, Delta etc. Crawford is the closest town to the North Rim (the less developed side) of the Black Canyon of the Gunnison and has a population of around 350. We booked two nights in the Stone House... More
