My husband, son, and I recent stayed here while traveling for almost 3 weeks . My husband is a contractor so we move every 4-6 weeks. Even though we could never say how long we were staying more than a few days they were more than happy for keep extending our stay for the whole 3 weeks. Always kind and... More

This campground is ok...roads need some improvement and sites r a little rough! Wi-if is hit or miss! Playground needs updated...only had swings and some big tires to climb on! It worked week for us due to the location or everything we wanted to do. This was one of the only campgrounds was saw where you actually had a little... More

We enjoyed the campground. We stayed here 6 nights. Roads are a little rough and they need to work on the playground. There is a lake to go fishing but no fish in it. We would go back here again. There was wifi, not the best but ok.

This park has the potential to be awesome. Sadly it is very poorly maintained. Overgrown brush everywhere. Sites are in sad need of some basic grading and leveling. Roads are badly rutted. Most sites share a pedestal with the adjacent site which means only one of you can use the 50amp plug. The location of the power pedestal and water... More

Reservations and staff were great. However, the campground spaces are a little crowded, and they are basically just plowed dirt. There are some nice shade trees at many of the sites, but frankly, the sites are not laid out well (in my space, if you put the door of your trailer so it could open to the table and fire... More

PROS Nice, responsive staff. Immediately researched the problems below Very large campground. CONS Poor Wifi service: Did not work at site #480. Ask for a site near Wifi antenna. Poor electric: Had brown-outs on hot days. Voltage was 103 volts. Eroded gravel sites and roads. Was just OK in a pinch.

We just took our first road trip in our new-to-us RV and we spent 2 nights at Golden Eagle RV Campground. The staff here is very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Since it was the opening weekend, it was not crowded and we were able to choose our own site. One of the staff members suggested a full hookup site where... More

Mountain campground. A little remote, but peaceful and safe. Nice amenities; impressed with the washhouse. Clean hot showers and the facility was kept clean despite the sand. The staff is friendly and eager to help and if one were to judge by the number of people staying the same weekend, it is well liked. Places for RV's and tent campers... More

This campground is a nice place to stay if you want a remote, mountain setting. The staff is very friendly, and the two ladies that run the place are fourth generation family members of the May family. The bug museum collection is most impressive, reasonably priced and very educational (some of the insects were captured as early as 1904!). The... More

Within minutes of arriving my leashed Golden Retriever was attacked by an unleashed German Shepard ouside the check in office. I was shocked at the attitude of the staff who just patroninzingly half smiled stating she would "talk to her;" the lady who obviously was a long timer and had the habit of walking her German Shepard off leash as...
