Traveling through Colorado and Nevada for business and potential life style changes, healthier and all that jazz....Spurs and Lace was a sweet refrain, a nice surprise. The book stores and boutiques around the area.....added to the enchantment....one must know of Hemingway, Fitzgerald, Paris Blues....Stuffy young, middle age and older folks cannot possibly enjoy this atmosphere, so stay away and go... There is a lot of space to sit outside and relax. The first floor has no where to sit and relax other than your actual bedroom. The second floor has a small library. The owners occupy the third floor. They have tea and hot chocolate readily available day or night. The breakfast was a three course meal the first was... More

We have stayed at this B&B three times and each stay was wonderful. The hospitality that Leo & Joyce show their guests is unmatched anywhere. Breakfast is good, but sometimes we just went for a walk in Old Colorado City and stopped at a cafe that looked good. There is also a Espresso Cafe around the corner from the B&B.... More

Seriously, you won't find a more charming, a sweeter pair of hosts or a more perfect location than this b&b. It's my most favorite out of everywhere I've ever stayed. I won't spoil the surprise but stay through breakfast! It was just amazing.

We stayed here one night of the two we booked. It was just not clean or comfortable. It rated high on my creep factor. There were portraits of the owner all over the room we stayed in. The bathroom had other people's pubic hairs on the floor!! It was dusty, dirty, and had hard beds and mediocre food at best.... More

When my boyfriend and I were looking for somewhere to stay for our first traveling vacation in Co Springs we decided to go for a more cozy, home-like atmosphere hoping that it would enhanced the motif of our trip. We read the reviews and since we were going as a couple had no reservations booking. Note: they do not accept... More

I felt as though I was visiting my spinster aunt when I walked through the front door of Spurs and Lace. I suppose they were trying to re-create the Victorian era, but it was a bit much for me. The proprietors, Leo and Joyce, were very sincere and friendly, so I tried to overlook the décor. We had to leave... More

Staying at Spurs and Lace is quite different from hotel accommodation. Proprietors, Leo and Joyce, are warm and friendly. Decor is somewhat of yesteryear. Rooms all have themes. Beds are comfortable. Located very close to Old Colorado town with its quaint Main Street with numerous restaurants. No T.V. as proprietors philosophy is that one should spend time sharing moments with... More

You never know what you're going to get when you stay at a B&B. Will the owners be absent for breakfast, or will they sit at the head of the table and expect you to listen while they try to force their viewpoints down your throat (Yes, I experienced that once)? Will you have freedom to leave and come back... More

We enjoy staying in B&Bs from time to time. Staying in someone's home and meeting new people is an interesting addition to any vacation. We spent 3 nights with Leo and Joyce, staying in the Durango room. It is a very comfortable room with a nice deep tub for soaking. It has a window unit air conditioner so you can... More
