My wife and I have been to the area five times now and Thunder Mountain Lodge is by far our favorite Grand Mesa cabin rental spot. Cabins are clean and well taken care of and the setting between two high alpine lakes is spectacular. Stayed here in the Winter for the first time this year and the new owner, Jeff,... More

I went to Thunder Mountain Lodge to explore the Grand Mesa snowmobile terrain and even did a little ski touring and backcountry skiing while I was visiting. I stayed in the cabins and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the quaintness and peaceful feel about this place. I would highly recommend anyone looking to explore a cabin experience check Thunder Mountain... More

I have had a cabin rental here in Grand Mesa twice with my family; once in the summer and once in the winter. The location is superb as it is close to great snowmobiling in Powderhorn ski area as well as hiking and biking Crags Crest Trail. We love having the option to paddle board and kayak on the lake... We stayed here with our friends in cabin 4 and was pleasantly surprised with how clean and adequately stocked the place was. It is small if you are trying to fit to full size families in one cabin but for the price we could have easily rented one more. We also rented 3 sleds for the weekend and had a... More

Our family of four met up with some friends and rented a few snowmobiles for the weekend. The sleds were new, fueled and ready to go. We stayed at cabin 4 and was pleasantly surprised at the clean, updated, fully equipped cabin. It is a little small for two full size families but clean and really nice.

I've been going snowmobiling on the grand mesa for years and always stay at thunder mountain lodge. The new owner jeff is really doing a great job and will make every effort to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience. The grand mesa is also a great hunting destination, not as much pressure as other areas of the state i've hunted.... More

We stayed in cabin #1 at Thunder Mountain Lodge last weekend. We had a wonderful experience! Jeff greeted us upon arrival and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The cabin had been newly remodeled and was the perfect size for five adults and 1 child. The location was ideal and we especially enjoyed the view of... More
