My 18 and 14 year old sons were driving cross country and looking for a beautiful place to stay. 5 miles out from the lodge, they rolled the car into an embankment and were physically unharmed but the car was totaled. They called us, I called the lodge, and Mike answered. It brings tears to my eyes just writing this.... More

We were on the last day of a vacation for Spring Break and our plan for snowmobiling fell through. We stopped by Grand Mesa Lodge and they were very accommodating with us to make a last minute plan to snowmobile with them. They made sure we all had the right gear and made us feel right at home. We love... More

We went to Grand Mesa Lodge for an afternoon of snowmobiling. Initially we were going to go independent, but then decided to join Mike's guided tour. We were apprehensive to join a guided group (even though we are just beginners) because we didn't want to be stuck in a group that went maximum 15 mph for the whole 3 hours--ugh!... More

Enjoyed our stay! Will be back! We called ahead for reservations and enjoyed the family service and their very friendly dog! If you're coming from out of state, plan to drink lots of WATER! Not other forms of drink. You are at 10,000 feet altitude and will get headaches very quickly. Wonderful views.

Nice view, nice cabin, nice view, nice dog "Wiley", nice fishing. Beware of altitude sickness! The lodge and the Grand Mesa are above 10,000 feet, and after 4 years of living at sea level, my wife had a terrible headache and nausea from the altitude (I think that was the problem that the previous reviewer had - the heaters are... I spent the past few days at the Grand Mesa Lodge reconnecting with an old friend whom I had not seen in 30 years. Rose and Mike were fantastic hosts and very helpful as I planned our visit. Rose reserved cabin 7 for us. When we arrived at the lodge this past Thursday they welcomed us with open arms. We... More

Did a snowmobile tour of the top of the mesa which was amazing. The lodge was unique and the owners were very personable. Enjoyed conversation with other guests who have been there in the other seasons and the views are all amazing. We hope to go back in the summer to rent a boat and fish in the lakes we... More

My wife and I have visited this place numerous times and plan many more trips back. I like the rustic feel of the cabins, they were built in the 30's, and like the feeling of the place as a whole. They have taken a lot of time to "spruce up" the cabins, making them comfortable and inviting. We also bring... More

We booked a cabin for 3 nights but ended up leaving early because it was very uncomfortable. Crappy mattresses, one propane heater for the entire cabin and mold on all the windowsills. The place was either too hot or too cold, we had to worry about our toddlers touching the blazing hot heater and everything was very beat down and... More
