We had a wonderful time at Echo Canyon. We stayed in the house and it was very nice. We were very comfortable and enjoyed it very much. Our daughter said it was better than any of the hotels we stayed in during our vacation! The Managers were just icing on the cake of our whole experience there. Thanks for a... More

Had an enjoyable 3 night stay at the campground. Had a great raft trip with Joe as our guide then took the Royal gorge train ride the next day. Highly recommend the campground for a great one stop adventure.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review for us! We appreciate that you took advantage of all that we have to offer - the rafting and the camping. (We think being able to roll out of bed and have a 2-minute commute to your rafting trip is pretty awesome!) We will be sure to tell Joe that... More

We chose not to rough it and stayed in the 3 bedroom home that sits onsite. The house was clean, roomy and had all the amenities we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the dishes, utensils and appliances. We stayed there for four nights as we experienced multiple adventures in the area. Once we arrived, we ran into... More

This place was great! Owned by a lovely wife and hubby! That care about you! Showers and bathrooms are very nice! Very peaceful! Just cozy! Thanks guys!!! The sites are spread out far apart so your far away from each other. Close enough to walk to a bathroom incase ladies have to go at night :) they have fire pits... More

We camped over Memorial Day weekend in a tent. The scenery was spectacular the facilities were very clean. They have a laundry facility as well as showers with hot water. The camp site was basic and that's what we were looking for. We had plenty of room for a tent room for parking and a fire pit. The best part... More

Stayed in the rustic cabin the first night. Very nice and comfortable. Stayed in a tent the next 3 nights. The view from the site was breath taking and unforgettable. You can see snowcapped mountains! Very clean shower and bathroom facilities. Water is hot the second you turn the water on. They have a little store that has firewood $5... More

We're so glad you enjoyed your stay. While we can't take credit for the view (those mountains!), we do appreciate knowing that the other small touches that our campground managers put effort into are making you feel more comfortable. Thanks for taking the time to write a review, and we hope you come back to see us! More

The tent campsites were very basic and accessed by roughly graded dirt roads; the staff tries hard to keep them in shape. The shower and laundry facility was nice and clean. Beware the helicopter tourist ride directly across from the campground: they fly 10 minute routes to & from Royal Gorge starting around 7:30 AM and running until dark. The... More

TentCamper001, I must admit, this is the first time I've laughed out loud after reading a 2 star review, and I mean that as a compliment! Yes, the M*A*S*H* helicopter has made a mark this summer with noise pollution. We will make an attempt to contact the pilot to kindly request a course change that doesn't take the chopper over... We camped here for a Saturday and Sunday Night---the facilities were very clean and showers had great water pressure/heat. They are coin operated but you get the coins for free per guest--the 7 minutes was enough even for my thick hair. Great outdoor wash sink and had electric plugs in the bathrooms etc. The sites themselves were good---I wish they... More

Borah22, I thank you so much for your review. It's reviews like these that help not just travelers but it also tells us what we need to work on. Cleaner sites, more level tent sites - check. We will aim to improve both of those. I sure wish the noisy bar next door would respect our campers more. On that... More

We stayed at Echo Canyon Campground for an entire week and had a great time. Clean bathrooms, nice hosts and tons of things to do nearby! We loved the outdoor sink to wash our dishes daily. We had a shaded campsite with a picnic table and fire ring. You can see the Royal Gorge from this campground.

Thank you Wendy for spending a week with us! There is a ton to do in this area and I'm happy to hear we could be a good base camp for those explorations. I'll send some praise toward our staff as they certainly are owed that after reading your positive comments. Thanks for your review Wendy! More

We literally just left this place and we could have not had a better experience. The staff was friendly and let me start by saying this is one of the cleanest campgrounds we have ever been to. They do have flushable toilets near the office but a porter potty was stationes steps away from our group campsite. It was the... More

Thanks for your review J.H! It sounds like you had a really nice stay with us, despite the pesky helicopter buzzing near the campground. We're going to reach out to the helicopter pilot to request he change the course that takes him immediately over our campground, so I appreciate your mentioning that. I will also pass along your high praise... More
