I would have given 4 stars but the hotel needs some maintenance. Staff was very friendly and some even know your name. It's a short walk to the great hike to see rio Celeste. We also went tubing which was very fun. Restaurant is pricey ($50 lunch/$120 for dinner w/a bottle of wine). Presentation is 5 star, food is about... More

My wife and I stayed at Rio Celeste Hideaway for the second half of our honeymoon - at least that was the plan. We spent our first 3 nights at Villa Buena Onda and had a wonderful experience relaxing and enjoying Costa Rica. We were excited to spend the last 3 nights in the rain forest exploring and seeing wildlife.... More

We headed to Rio Celeste Hideaway as two moms with 5 kids (in total). After three days of long hikes and adrenaline inducing activities, we were seriously looking forward to some down time in what turned out to be a true hidden gem. The hotel rooms are very spacious, more like lavish cabanas with an en suite Jacuzzi and an... More

My wife and I stayed at Rio Celeste for 3 days over Christmas. We enjoyed the nearby park, the hotel spa and river-access, and other hotel amenities. However this is a resort that seemed to have put its efforts into superficial over-the-top attractiveness with little attention to detail. This is certainly not a *bad* resort on an absolute scale but... More

This was our second stay at Rio Celeste, the first was in December 2011, and it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. We decided to visit Rio Celeste again, and we had an amazing experience again. This hotel is a hidden jewel. The only problem that I had was that there was a noticeable drop in... More

This place was such a treat for us! we did not imagine it will be so good, only booked one night. The road it not great, you will have to endure about 6 miles of rocky, dirt road on a 4x4 but it will be soooo worth it. You can book a relaxing massage that will be very needed if... More

What a beautiful hotel, an in the middle of no where oases. The rooms are private, spacious and very comfortable. The outside shower is a wonderful touch as well as the whirl pool tub in the bathroom. The restaurant is great and crew is really nice. We truly loved our stay here but would not come back this time of... More

We stayed for one night on mid December, coming from Liberia airport. Part of the way is on a dirt road, and a 4X4 car is needed (maybe ןit's different when coming from San Jose). The location is amazing and Worth the drive! Beautiful resort. Great rooms (casitas). An outside shower is a nice feature. Beds could be more comfortable.... More
