This hotel is truly a beautiful hideaway, with each room being a private "cabin" with verandas overlooking the rainforest, comfortable beds, clean spacious bathrooms, and outdoor shower (awesome!) Some of the staff we met were absolutely fantastic, namely Grievin, Sara, and Eddy (driver). The food at the restaurant was fabulous...one of the best steaks we've ever had. Presentation of dishes... As mentioned by many others, the location is great, and after a bumby ride it really gives a good first impression. The private trail down to the river is also very neat and child friendly. The pool area is nice, however it needs some maintenance -NOW We found a nail sticking up on the side of the pool, and one... More

Not easy to reach, dirt road for half an hour in bad condition and and in rainy season only for 4WD. Spacious villa with nice terrace and views. Large bathroom with additional outside shower. Wifi not working is villa and in central area with some hick-ups. Large restaurant with enough choice on menu, with good food not extraordiny. Breakfast as... More

We stayed here for 2 nights during a month in CR. Our welcome at the hotel was lovely with cold drinks and towels. As our room was not ready we decided to walk to the national park for a few hours, the hike and the walk there and back takes about 4 hours. The park was amazing, very few people... More

After driving a few hours in the pouring rain from the airport it was nice to see smiling faces. We were greeted at the front desk with 2 drinks and great service. I would DEF recommend 4 wheel drive if you are coming to this area of CR. The roads are large rocks and pot holes, they are not paved,... More

It is not easy to get here and the road here is absolutely awful. 12 km can easily take a 4x4 about 45 minutes. However, the staff is very pleasant and helpful. This hotel is undoubtedly in the middle of the rainforest as everything is humid at all times. The rooms are large, though the lighting is limited at night.... More

The Rio Celeste Hideaway is a must see for couples visiting the Rio Celeste area. The staff was phenomenal and they couldn't have been more helpful when we sought information about what to do in the surrounding areas. The rooms are unbelievable! Nothing on our trip to CR came close to the tranquility and pleasure that we got from sitting... More

It's worth the long, bone-juddering drive here to enjoy the rainforest, and to feel that you're ensconced within it at Rio Celeste hideaway. Lovely lodge cabins, and a good restaurant serving super-generous (perhaps too generous!) portions. (Bear in mind, though that service in the restaurant can be a little slow.) We also enjoyed the pool bar with jacuzzis, and a... More

We stayed four nights at the Hideaway and found the rooms large and comfortable. Outdoor shower, inside jacuzzi tub, great sitting area, spacious front porch and a true jungle experience high in the rain forest. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Be mindful of the location as in the rainforest and this elevation it can rain most days and nights as... More

We stayed at the Rio Celeste Hideaway for 2 nights in December. Although the weather was not the best - it was raining for almost our entire stay, we really enjoyed the stay. The waterfall is definitely a must see. The hike is easy (Although we were soaking wet), and the view is spectacular. The drive to the hotel involves... More
