This hotel is located in a very very secluded place, 1 mile past Parque Nacional Rio Tenerio. The road to get there is unpaved, unworked, un-maintained and uphill. Figure out a good 1/2 hour at slow speed. Once there however, you will be greeted with an excellent smile from all the staff and rewarded with a vast and beautiful cabin,... More

Definitely recommend this hideaway find that is very reasonable priced! Likely the reasonable price is based in part on the rough road leading to it (at least when coming in from Bijagua, the entrance from Rt. 4 is definitely easier). The access road to the Tenorio National Park is pretty rough, and the resort is about 10 minutes past the... More

Beautiful hotel, set in a lush area adjacent to Tenorio Volcano National Park. If you go, you have to hike into the park to see the blue river. Two typical-colored mountain rivers, one very basic and with aluminosilicate particles in suspension and the other very acidic from a volcanic mountain, converge and result in an intense sky-blue color. The only... More

Nicely laid out resort but no views, large good quality rooms, dark furniture / bright walls may not be to everyone's taste, good pool area. Really friendly and helpful restaurant staff. Right on the doorstep of Tenorio National Park, also handy for travelling to Cano Negro.

If you're looking for a secluded and beautiful resort, look no further. This hotel is about 7 miles up a road that was cake in a 4x4, but would worry me in something smaller. Our private cabin was immaculate with a porch that overlooked the jungle. It was so peaceful. The pool was a plus, and the short hike down... More

We had a very pleasant stay at the Rio Celeste Hideaway. As others have mentioned, we were greeted by name and welcomed with a cold towel and fresh juice upon arrival. The casita was well appointed and comfortable with cold a/c and hot showers. The staff was gracious and friendly - especially the restaurant staff. The grounds are beautiful and... More

Food was good, White faced capuchins sighted in the trees around the pool. Lots of wildlife viewing while still staying in a Luxury setting. The staff is very friendly. Evar and other service staff were really friendly and took good care of us.

Rio Celeste....Well after an amazing hike nearby at the Tenorio National Park we arrived at the Hideaway Hotel. Upon arrival everything looked great, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. And then we get introduced to our room. First of all, so glad we only paid the discounted room rate which was 35% less because within a matter of minutes... More

Getting here is rough, but it's worth it. We drove from Monteverde and the road was very bumpy. The lodge is open air and surrounded by tons of gorgeous tropical plants. The bungalow was spacious, with tall ceilings, a gorgeous canopy bed, porch in the jungle, and outdoor shower. Unfortunately it rained the whole time we were there, so our... More

We were lucky to find this boutique, eclectic, hideaway hotel through TripAdvisor for one night and liked it so much, we stayed another! The staff was amazing and the food was really good. Most everyone on staff referred to us by first name and made sure to accommodate us in every way. We drove to the national park (Tenorio) even... More
