Wow! This hotel is what dreams are made of. We arrived at the Liberia airport and rented a car. The drive from the airport to the hotel was amazing! Yes, we encountered the crazy roads everyone wrote about and yes they are crazy but this is what made the trip such an adventure. The service at this hotel was superb... More

"The staff was very attentive and accommodating and the meals were excellent! Local area has many natural attractions such as nature hikes and a waterfall. The local guides are also excellent to work with. Pura Vida!"

We have stayed t this hotel with 3 kids and the grand parents. Its comfortable, very well maintained grounds, spacious rooms. Amidst the lush nature of Costa Rica. Its a cloud forest climate so be prepared for high humidity - our bed linens were humid on arrival, do not panic, just get used to a different environment. The shower under... More

My wife and I just returned from our second visit to the Rio Celeste Hideaway Hotel and our experience was fabulous. The service we received throughout our stay was outstanding. Our meals were delicious and the portion size was just right. The room was beautiful and offered privacy. All the facilities and common areas were clean and well maintained. We... More

The overall experience was very good. I would recommend that you fly into LIR airport instead of SJO as it is a FOUR HOUR, very rough drive. The hotel arranged for transportation to pick us up (for $200). Our driver Eddie was very nice and even stopped to show us a sloth in a tree on the way. Once we... More

Before I write about the other aspects of this amazing hotel, let me just say that the service is the highlight. It is hard to quite describe just how amazing they are in general terms, so maybe a few examples: 1- I had a flat tire. They noticed it before I did, called me about it, and offered to send... More

This place is better than what we expected. Well the only reason I didn't rate the location excellent is because the drive up to the hotel is a bit rough. After the drive up, you arrive at a true BEAUTIFUL hideaway! The staff was attentive from the 1st to last minute of checkout. If you land in SJO I recommend... More

Spent the weekend up at Río Celeste Hideaway looking for a relaxing escape from the city. Unfortunately we picked a bad weekend as there was a large group of families and kids there that had swarmed the main restaurant and pool area - making it a little difficult to disconnect as we had planned. Not exactly the hotels fault though... More

This was a wonderful place to stay. Just at the beginning of the rainy season, this place was so very nice. The rooms are little houses. VERY highend amenities and as tropical as you can get without living in the jungle... You need to be prepared for the ride there. It's 12K off the main road and if it's raining,... More

Walking paths through jungle gardens to every bungalow! This hotel was a breath of fresh air! We loved the area. Fewer tourists and the nicest Costa Rican locals. The bartender invited my husband and friends I was traveling with to the local rodeo in Katira. What an experience! He was so sweet, even introduced us to his family! The rooms... More
