My wife, daughter and myself recently visited this hotel. The roads were pretty rough, but I blame that partly on not having a 4x4 and would highly recommend anyone visiting ensure they have one. The rooms are very large, the food is good, the pool is decent. Unfortunately, we were unable to truly experience this hotel as we checked in... More

My husband and I stayed at Rio Celeste from 10/19 through 10/22/2014. This was the first hotel we stayed at on our honeymoon, and we didn't arrive until about 1:00 AM due to flight delays and the long trip from San Jose to Rio Celeste. Here are the pros and cons of our visit: PROS: Beautiful. The grounds are very... More

The rooms are EXACTLY like the pictures (which almost never happens). Our room was huge and the balcony overlooking the beautiful vegetation was amazing. I fell in love with the outdoor shower and now need to add one to my home! As many reviews have stated the road to get to the hotel is realllly bad and if you are... More

We stayed in October 2014 during the rainy season. The hotel and suites are gorgeous, the koi pond is a lot of fun (they even let us feed them), and the staff is incredibly friendly. During our 4 night stay the hotel lost water service for nearly 2 days. That meant 2 days without running water in the rooms for... More

The resort has a relaxed and casual feel that my wife and I really appreciated. The staff is unbelievably helpful and accommodating. We absolutely would go back here if we every get the chance to go back to Costa Rica. Also - we had great experiences with the travel the staff coordinated for us to/from the airport and the coast.... More

We loved the hotel !! the whole facility is beautiful, the food is great, the cabins are gorgeous !! super friendly people. I would only improve on the humidity control in the bedrooms and on the butter and jams served at breakfast, it is a shame they serve pre-packaged jams which are just sugar and pectin, they could improve a... My girlfriend and me were at the Hideaway Hotel for just a couple of days, hearing that Rio Celeste is one of the best national parks in the country. From the moment you walk in, the place looks spectacular. Everything, from the lobby to the restaurant, from the pool to the rooms, is very spacious, the furniture is elegant and... More

I just came back from beautiful Costa Rica and the island is amazing first lets get all the cons out of the way and believe me there arent many. The road to the hotel is very rough if you take the un paved road passing the national park entrance, the unpaved road coming to the hotel from the other direction... More

Everything was beyond expectations. Amazing is a word far away from the one that I'd need to describe how great this place is. The bungalows, the pool, the gardens & the restaurant were fantastic and the staff was absolutely kind and helpful. Great value for money, it is definitely worth staying.
