We stoped at this hotel because a tornado has cut off electricity and we didn't have enough gaz to continue. Nice service and helpfull people. Very large room with comfortable bed. Renovated room. Good value for the price.

I had read other reviews, so I knew not to judge a book by its cover in the case of this older hotel. We were extremely pleased with this hotel. When we arrived, we were treated with great smiles and friendliness. The owners immediately apologized about the state of remodel of their lobby. We understood perfectly. They went above and... It meets all your basic needs. I enjoyed the general set-up of the room. The mounted TV was a nice touch. The only thing that was truly disappointing was the fact that the pizza hut down the street from this place doesn't deliver :( That's definitely not the hotel's fault though, and there were other places to eat... Arby's, McDonald's,... More

As we were traveling from Missouri to Colorado, we needed a place to stay briefly overnight. Using Trip Advisor, I searched hotels in the Burlington area and came across this hotel. Like most of the reviews said, it is nothing to look at from the outside. However, our room was completely remodeled, very clean, and comfortable. It turned out to... More

Rooms have been recently remodeled and updated. The dated exterior is misleading. Memory foam bed was very comfortable. Everything was clean, room was quiet, slept very well.Would definitely stay again. Room included refrigerator and microwave, but not a coffee maker. Denny's across the street served a good breakfast with friendly service, open 24 hours.

When traveling and just needing a place to rest for the night, I look for three things - cleanliness, a comfortable bed, and a good value. From the outside, it was a place that I would have NEVER considered. However, I trusted Trip Advisor and the Desert Inn met all three of my requirements. While it is an old motel,... More

Near the freeway, good beds, in process of upgrading (towels would be a good next upgrade). Basic, comfortable, good value. Near the freeway, good beds, in process of upgrading (towels would be a good next upgrade). Basic, comfortable, good value.

Pulled in about dusk. First impressions not good. Place appears ancient and falling down. Asphalt in parking lot by the road is full of holes making getting in a jarring experience. Stepping out of the vehicle my nose was assaulted by the odor of Cattle urine. The lobby was clean and tidy and the night clerk was very pleasant. He... More

I suppose the Burlington Inn was good value, and I agree with others that the rooms have a spare serene quality. The bed was comfortable and all seemed clean. Problem areas were the bathroom, first. No towel rods. It's a pet peeve of mine. Also, the shower handle came off when I first turned it. It slipped back on and... More

The first review said it best: Not great looking on the outside, but very nice on the inside. It was a pleasure to have such a big room. Lots of attention to detail. Very nice. No coffee in room but the office is close by and there was a smallish breakfast. Owner is wonderful. It's a work in progress. Hope... More
