We recently rented a cabin at the Sagewood Cabins in Buena Vista, Colorado. The cabin we stayed in reminded me of Little House on the Prairie type cabin, log inside and out, rustic looking, well stocked kitchen with anything you would need to prepare a meal. There was not a TV or wifi, which we loved. There were books, games,... More

My family has stayed at Sagewood a few different times over the last couple of years. Usually two or three times a summer. My wife and I are planning another short get away weekend soon! The cabins are a bit rustic, but with all the modern conveniences. They are perfect for a weekend away or a short break. The rustic... More

My mother bought my husband and I a weekend at Sagewood cabins for our 8 year anniversary. We had planned a steamy weekend of fun, sex (we have kids and need a little privacy!), and hiking. A secluded cabin sounded very doable...After hastily rattled off directions from Kristen, we found the turn-off. My initial impression was of absolute disbelief. Kristen's... More

We've greatly enjoyed our stays in High Button and Granny's cabins at Sagewood Cabins for about 7 years in a row at the end of summer. We always have a relaxing, quiet, and comfortable experience here. Sagewood Cabins are centrally located to the mountain hiking trails we love and to Buena Vista and Leadville. We also appreciate that Sagewood is... More

We (2 boys aged 9 and 6 and 2 adults) spent 4 days in Granny Annie's cabin. Our kids thought the cabins were really cool, and enjoyed feeding the horses and playing "army" in the hills. We loved the down-home comfort and styling of the cabins. It's conveniently located to plenty of outdoor activities but well removed from the hustle... More

My family (2 adults, 3 boys) stayed at Sagewood Cabins for 2 nites in August . We stayed in "Grub Stake" cabin . The down stairs had a kitchen with gas range, fridge, and microwave. A small table for 4 next to the brick fire place was great in the evening while we played Monopoly. A double bed, couch, and small... More

Our family of 6 including my son & his wife and their 2 boys, and my husband & I stayed at Granny's Cabin last week. Our only regret was not staying longer at this cute, rustic cabin. I always try to find true cabins to stay in...not trailer houses with wood trim! Was this former barn ever a find....one we... More

Our little cabin at Sagewood Cabins near Buena Vista, CO was a great find! My husband and I were looking for a rustic, romantic log cabin where we could spend several days snowshoeing and relaxing by the fire. There are 3 cabins on the property, but only one is open during the winter months. It's an adorable little log cabin,... More
