We have been staying here since 1989. We live in the Denver Metro area and love fishing and hiking. This place is a great place to hide away, fish, have peace and quiet and it doesn't cost you an arm and a leg. In fact, this place is less money than the Super 8 and or Best Western hotel in... More

Rainbow Lake Resort has a number of cabins to meet your specific needs - smaller quaint cabins for couples or singles to larger accommodations for families or groups. This review is specific to the "Bonanza" cabin we stayed in; as well as the overall resort. Firstly, make your reservations early on the resort's easy to use website - as cabins... More

We stumbled onto this place driving to Cottonwood Pass. Best ever!! The private lake was teeming with fish, the management (Patricia and Rocky) was super friendly and helpful, and the cabins were very clean and spacious with everything you could need. Already re-booked for next year! Definitely take the walk around the lake as well as the Colorado Trail hike.

Stayed in one of the cozy little cabins. Simple, clean and comfortable. Amazing setting by a private lake and tree lined mountainside. Perfect for fishermen or anyone seeking a peaceful, rustic getaway. Only regret was we were only able to stay 2 nights. Hopefully we'll be back for a more extended stay.

We were passing through on our motorcycle and stayed in an extremely clean rustic cabin on a beautiful wooded lake. We saw deer and hummingbirds galore. Fishing was amazing and decided to try. A big thank you to manager Rocky for making it happen. His friendly and helpful ways will be our best memory along with our tasty trout dinner.... More

We were first introduced to this place in 1984, and we've been back about 26 years since then. It's great for fishing, although we enjoy our time there even with only minimal time with a line in the water. Good hiking opportunities for all, from a hike around the beautiful lake, to climbing to the Teepee, to hiking the Colorado... More

The cabin was very comfortable and very clean. We had everything we needed including sugar for mixing sugar water for the hummingbird feeder on the deck. Loved hiking around the lake, fishing, watching the hummingbirds, the bon fires in the evenings and actually relaxing!

Rainbow Lake is a haven for fishermen as it is stocked with trout. The quiet, scenic resort is a jewell near Cottonwood Pass. The lakeshore is sprinkled with quaint cabins that vary in size and occupancy. No special amenities here, including TV or WiFi in the cabins, so that it is truly a get away place. Each cabin has serviceable... More
