My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights. We stayed in room #1. It was absolutely terrible. This room was right next to the highway which meant non stop traffic noise the WHOLE time. As there is no air conditioning, we had to keep the windows open (no noise buffer). It was actually difficult to even open the windows.... More

By the looks of the place, it was built in the 60's and hasn't been touched since. The bed reminded me of my great grandmother's ... It was hard as a a rock, with linens that are stereotypical of the no-tell motels that you see on horror movies. The room also smelled heavy of febreeze, which I suspect was used... More

Stayed here on Aug 5th and for $100 dollars The place wasn't worth what I paid Let's see what was wrong with room You have to park in back alley to access room Room #7 The lock on door wasn't secure so I put a chair under door knob so it wouldn't just push open and I slept with my... More

After over 24 hours of driving without sleep, and a lot of it stuck on winding mountain roads, we had to sleep. The car wasn't going to work. This was the first city we came to. And this was the only place with a vacancy. The owner/staff(?) Behind the desk. But, other than that there was a shower, toilet, to... More

My son and I stayed at the Topaz Lodge July 3rd. The location and town were beautiful. The owners were very nice and helpful and gave me a map and directions to where we could viiew the continental divide. While in the office I noticed a picture woth someone feeding a chipmunk. When I enquires about the picture, I was... More

We rented a couple of rooms for my family to stay while we visited the nearby hot springs. The owner was nice enough but I wouldn't stay there again. It is way over priced for a very, very basic and incredibly dated room without any amenities. He did bring in a microwave when we inquired about one, but even that... More

The website for the Topaz Lodge exhorts one would be treated like family. That is quite the truth, as the poor relation in a poor family. The Topaz Lodge is a good example of why large corporate motels have gained the ground in America. Namely, lack of updating and a general shabby appearance coupled with indifferent innkeeper tendencies will consign... More

Listen, it's not the Ritz. Topaz is quaint, clean, accomodating, near everything...in the center of town. The owners, employees were more than helpful. The comforers look like they're from the 80's, but we didn't care. Affordable, and we learned this property had been around 100+ years which was special. Very little complaints here

We chose this Lodge for a Staycation. We stayed over night after a great visit to the Mount Princeton Hot Springs. The rooms are older but well kept and very clean. The manager and staff very friendly. We would stay there again.

What a wonderful place to stay in this quaint and interesting town. The room was pleasant and clean, the beds were comfortable, the location can't be beat for convenience, the price is right, and the owners go out of their way to make your visit fun and relaxing. It's the perfect place to stay in the Arkansas Valley. I would... More
