We recently spent 4 days at the Boulderado Hotel. Our son recommended with stay here s it was my first trip to boulder and he said it will give you a historic feel for the town and area's history. We stayed in the old section of the hotel which is lovingly maintained in its original Victorian decor. WE stayed on... More

Great place to stay if you want to experience the "good old days". This place comes out from a time machine. You need to ring the bell for the elevator and wait for the bell boy to come and get you! It's really like beeing in a western movie. Staircase overlooking the lobby is a piece of art. All the... More

I recently spent three nights at the Boulderado on a business trip and enjoyed the unique historic details like the grand staircase and bellman-operated Otis elevator in the lobby. I feared "historic" would equal "cramped," but was pleasantly surprised by my room in the building's newer wing. It was spacious, quiet, clean, and very comfortable. The hotel location is also... We loved our stay at the Hotel Boulderado with its original historic fittings and wonderful interiors. Our room with twin beds had so much space it did so much to help the ambience of the stay. We would have given the hotel five star rating all round but the service at breakfast let it all down. We asked for porridge... More

The Boulderado Hotel is like staying at grandma's house. The furnishings are dark and Victorian, the floors and ceilings creak when you or your neighbor above walk, the drapes are sun bleached and a bit threadbare but you feel welcome and everything is spotless. If you want modern amenities, I highly recommend the St. Julian. It is fabulous. If you... More

My partner and I just stayed at the Boulderado for three nights. We had an upper, corner room, which was a great choice as it had multiple windows (therefore lots of fresh air), a small couch and table with chairs (in addition to King bed). What a great space! Clean, large and well staffed. My only issue (small) is that... More

Thank you so much for the terrific review, Janet! I'm so glad you enjoyed the hotel room you stayed in, and I agree with you -- those corner rooms with the extra windows are where it's at! I apologize on behalf of the restaurant staff and want to assure you I've passed that note along to the management so we... More

Love this hotel! Amazing service, location and cleanliness. I lived in Colorado for many years and visited this hotel while on a business trip. It was close to GunBarrel (where client was located) and walking distance to tons of restaurants, shopping and more. Can't go wrong. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to all. The service desk goes the... More

Magnificent well maintained historic hotel, ideal location in downtown Boulder near an overwhelming number of restaurants. The interior, lobby, stairs and hallways are majestic. But the room we had on the west side of the old part of the hotel was little more than a closet. With a Queen bed squeezed into the room there was little room to stand... More

The hotel is super-charming, keeping it's early-20th century look while providing all the modern conveniences you'd expect. The lobby has rotary phones and a manually-operated elevator. I stayed in the "historic" wing and the room was clean and up to date. Internet speed was above average. Beware of climbing 4 flights of stairs on your first day at this altitude;... More

The hotel and conference center is nice, but in need of some significant updates. It is conveniently located a block off of Pearl Street Mall and near local attractions. Valet parking is available for an extra charge.

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your recent experience at the Boulderado. We actually are in a constant state of updates -- never a day goes by when one hotel room or another isn't getting recarpeted or a fresh coat of paint. I was glad to see you enjoyed the location and our proximity to... More
