I made a quick business trip to Boulder, Colorado this week, and, on the advice of business partners, stayed at the Hotel Boulderado. What a terrific place! Not only is it quaint, beautiful, and gracious, but every single employee seemed genuinely happy to be working there. I ate twice at the Spruce Farm and Fish twice, and I was very... More

This was my third stay at the Boulderado and each time it seems to get better. Everyone on staff was friendly and seemed to truly enjoy working there. The housekeeping staff did a great job. The room and all other parts of the hotel were spotless. The thing about the Boulderado is that they seem to keep it like it... More

License No. 1 - What a great speakeasy feel, to a bar that has been around for very long time. Just off the main lobby of the Hotel Boulderado (which opened in 1909) and down the stairs, where you have to ring the bell to gain access. There are numerous different rooms, wander around and find the perfect one for... More

It was a very cold New Year's Eve when we checked in. The staff was getting ready for the New Year's Eve party, and even though busy with an unusual influx of guests, they couldn't have been any friendlier or more helpful. Since this hotel was built in 1909 we weren't sure what to expect but they room was very... More

"Charm" and "charming" are found in a lot of the reviews of this hotel on this and other sites, and lthough those terms can sometimes be code for "outdated," it's not the case for this place. The hotel has the feel and look of a classic (though dated) hotel, but even before you step inside, the modern amenities (free valet... More

A great atmosphere and kind, attentive staff made our Christmas Day lunch special at the Hotel Boulderado. The food itself was nicely done and for a buffet I would say I was impressed by the quality. There was a variety of dishes with something for everyone. We lingered over dessert and tea and didn't feel rushed out the door. I... More

A return visit for us. Stay in the North Wing and treat yourself to a king-bedded corner room. Very accommodating staff. In the heart of all of activities in downtown Boulder. Three active bars, including sophisticated Spruce adjoining the lobby. Refreshing to see the locals still supporting this icon of early Boulder. Bed and breakfast package including a daily $25... I'm sure it helped that we stayed here at Christmas in terms of decoration and charm. Staying at this hotel is like staying at your friend's grandma's mansion. (Except it's super clean and doesn't smell old, musty or in anyway unpleasant). There was a HUGE (27-foot?) tree in the lobby, beautifully decorated with a train underneath and a gingerbread house,... More

This hotel is large and well located. It has clearly kept the "original" feel. Rooms are a good size and quiet (with a little road noise). Staff is very friendly and helpful. I think the only parking option here is valet but at $10/day, its very reasonable

I was here for a business meeting and I very much enjoyed my three days in the the Boulderado. A lovely room in a historic hotel, with good meeting rooms and a choice of very lively hotel bars made this a pleasant stay. You walk right out of the door into the downtown area and parking is very convenient. Nothing... More
