I have stayed at "The Alps" several times in the last 4 or 5 years, and always found it to be cozy, friendly, and inviting. The proprietors are always very solicitous, and helpful with suggestions of where to go and what to do in Boulder. The breakfasts are simple, but very tasty (with 3 choices of quiche!), the rooms are... more

We stayed one night but wished we could have stayed more. All the staff were friendly and the food excellent. It's a little rustic, but that is part of the charm. A nice creek with walking/jogging trail right across the road. No booze so take a bottle of wine to sip on the front porch. more

We really enjoyed our stay. We chose a back room to avoid the road out front so we did have a shared patio area but we were quite alone. The porch on the second floor was a wonderful area to sit and read in the evening or watch the dozens of hummingbirds in the morning. They had a variety of... more

When I read the hotel's website, I knew this was the place for us in Boulder. The picture looked lovely and we are huge fans of arts and crafts furniture. The reality was a huge disappointment. The inn is shabby and in need of major refreshing. Broken stone steps lead up to the lobby and our room was on the... more

I really enjoyed my stay here, and the innkeepers really worked hard to make the place beautiful and comfortable. The gardening skills of the owner were really good- tons of flowers everywhere in front of the inn. Breakfast was amazing....quiche, french toast, and their yummy scones. We had to rush through our breakfast on the first morning because we were... more

A sign is needed to find the Inn off of Canyon road. Dangerous entrance! The dining room is well-maintained and the food was good. No cream in the refrigerator as explained however, for early risers. Dessert was promised, but you have to ask and WAIT. Our room was NOT maintained. The bathroom towel racks had been replaced - but holes... more

If I had written this review after the first time we visited the Alps (Spring of 2005), I would have definately said "excellent!" - we had liked it so much (the room, the food, the decor, the innkeepers, etc) that we decided to splurge and stay a 2nd night. This trip around I definately see what other reviewers are saying... more

We eloped at the Alps Boulder Canyon Inn 9/12 and it was a great experience. From the moment we visited Jeanine (one of the Innkeepers) and the moment we were pronounced husband and wife all the way to checkout the next morning - we had a great and memorable experience. Our room was wonderful and everyone we encountered at the... more

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The overall ambiance is of Old World Charm and obviously being built back in the late 1800's it's showing it's age. The owners are well tasked with keeping up the place and I must say they do a fine job with all they have to tend with. If your looking for 5 star... more
