My husband and I stayed here for one night in January and we had a great time. The hotel is luxurious, dining average to good, gaming is good, and the rooftop pool/hot tub is the crown jewel! Although we didn't take advantage of it, it's nice that they offer room service. The cocktail service on the casino floor was excellent,... More

Stayed overnight at the Ameristar Casino & Hotel. Pleasantly surprised at how nice the rooms were. The Timberline Grill was excellent, and the casino was packed. There could have been more people checking in at the front desk as that took too long. I would consider going back for a weekend.

We have lived in the Denver area for a combined 10+ years and visited the Ameristar a couple times to play the slots, but we had no idea how nice this hotel was. We decided to go there for a little romantic getaway and were so glad we did. It is more of a "resort" than anywhere we have stayed... More

We had low expectations for a Black Hawk casino hotel, based on what we had seen in the past for other hotels in that area...and after searching for decent food at these other casino hotels we had low expectations in the food category. But the Ameristar is really a very nice destination hotel with full amenities. The rooms were lovely...as... More

Beautiful rooms, the spa is awesome but pricey, Front desk has gotten allot better in last year. The restaurants are good to very good, but have limited times when open. Casino, unless you go on weekend doesn't have much energy. A nice getaway from Denver , and its a pretty drive. If your choice is here or a quickie to... More

Last Valentine's Day weekend my wife and I stayed at the Ameristar Hotel and Casino in Black Hawk, CO. I was a very nice resort! The only reason It didn't get 5 stars was the nightly rate got a little steep. But, It was the closest thing to a true Las Vegas resort casino I've seen in Colorado. Good slots,... More

I was not impressed by much at this establishment. In my opinion it is to focused on nickle and diming you to death than caring about customer service. Good location and nice rooms but service on the casino floor is terrible. Given that Blackhawk is a gambling town I would think that is where most people are at during their... More

The staff is the best, always! The rooms are so clean and very spacious. The bathroom is extremely large and the shower is terrific! Hot water without waiting. The beds are extremely comfortable. The staff will try to give you a room either close to the elevator or close to the pool, whatever is your desire.

Second best hotel I have ever stayed in. Check in on Friday night took some time. Everyone before us seemed to have some problem checking in but we didn't at all. Granite counter tops in bathroom, double sink, glass shower, room had beautiful view of city on 30th floor, super clean, huge bath tub separate from shower, hot water, great... More

We enjoy the hotel, the casino, and the food! Great prices with the "Perc cards" they send us.I just wish they would offer entertainment, (shows, etc.). Otherwise, they are great. The pool is awesome. The parking is also very good.
