The Glen Echo Resort in actually in Rustic, Colorado (a small "t" the highway network, not even a crossroad). The Resort caters to summer travel trailers, and offers both rustic and more luxurious accommodations at all seasons. We were hunting so thought a rustic cabin would be just the ticket. We should have tented on the highway. Rustic cabins lack... More

Not always open so call first. We visited on a Saturday for lunch. We ordered the classic hamburger one with onion rings and one with fries. Wow, what a great hamburger! 1/2 pound of perfection. We tried to stop again on Monday and were disappointed as they were closed. I recommend a stop anytime you are driving up or down... More

We would not camp there again. The campsites are so close together that the gooseneck beside us had his pop outs touching our travel trailer awning. The playground is falling apart and littered with trash. There is one bathroom for the entire "resort." The campground is tiny, yet they allow people to ride their ATVs and dune buggies around all... Glen Echo is a great base for skiing or hiking in the Poudre Canyon, to avoid driving back to Port Collins. We rented a "Duplex" with some friends and were really happy with it: two queen bedrooms plus sleeper sofa; the decor is definitely a bit dated but it was *very* clean and had everything we needed. In addition, we... More

I am a regular visitor to Glen Echo Resort in Rustic, CO nestled in the beautiful Rocky Mt. National Park. Glen Echo is just 30 miles from Laporte, CO and another five miles from Fort Collins, home of Colorado State University. Since I hold my family reunions there, I am only familiar with the largest facility known as the "Penthouse"... More

The location is great, in general the facilities are good, the cabin itself is very cute and good size. But the bed! OMG! It was stiff as a board, It was like sleeping on the floor. I tried the couch instead and it was the opposite, it was like sleeping on top of jaba the hut. it is an old... More

The 7 camp spots on the island are where you want to tent camp. I noticed someone else's review saying they didn't like their camp space by the bathrooms, so make sure you ask for the island spots. The Poudre runs by both sides of the island. The camp sites on the island are rustic with a table, fire pit... More

My sisters and I were on a trip searching for a place to host a family reunion. One of my sisters called Glen Echo just 2 weeks before Memorial Day, spoke to the owner, told him our situation, and he rented us Cabin 27, as it was the only one left for the weekend. After checking in, we parked at... More

Glen Echo resort is about 40 miles from Fort Collins and on the Poudre River. Visiting our daughter and grandchildren in Denver we decided to have 4 days in this resort and were not disappointed at all. We decided against staying in one of the rustic cabins as they didn't have any plumbing and opted for the North Duplex cabin... More

Since our last review, we returned to Glen Echo and were pleasantly surprised by the professionalism and courtesy shown by the employees there. We did not see the owner that day (that we could see). I think they have taken to heart what people have written about Glen Echo. I sincerely hope this continues!
