My husband and I just returned from a week at the Chrisite Lodge. While the unusual amount of stairs in the condo is correct, after you unpack the stairs are not an issue. Yes we had skiis and equipment but after skiing great mountains, the workout should be a breeze for people in shape. As far as the noise, what... more

I believe the builder had an obsession with stairs, I have never seen more stairs anywhere in my life. You can not get anywhere without going up & down & up & down etc., it was incredible. It was like a sauna in the lobby, I liked to pass out every time I finally got to my room with my... more

We spent one night at the Christie Lodge this past weekend, and loved it. I was initially worried that the place would be a dump because it was so cheap (well, relatively cheap, for the area), but we were pleasantly surprised to find the rooms not only clean, but cozy, pleasant, and renovated. There were 3 of us, and we... more

The hotel is quite dated but we found everything to be clean and in working order. We (me, my spouse, and two children) stayed in a one bedroom suite for six days. The rooms are so small that I would not recommend more than two people stay in a suite. The bed was reasonably comfortable but the pull-out was a... more

We stayed at the Christie Lodge for a week in mid Jan for a ski trip. The lodge was almost empty and we had asked for a top floor room after reading reviews about the noise. Because of the design of the lodge the noise travels even if there are only 2 people in the hot tub talking. The rooms... more

At check-in, the lobby seemed nice enough. Then we walked down the hall to our room. After walking up a few steps to the main floor, I was immediately struck by the terrible lighting - a sickly yellow. The design of the place struck me next. Stairs all over the place - up, down, across - ugly. And, as it... more

My boyfriend and I travel to Vail from Miami every year for the past 4 years. We have been lucky enough to stay in some fantastic and luxurious resorts, and this year...well, we had to stay here. We are on the 3rd and top floor, and I think that this was a saving grace. I can tell that if I... more

The Good: Relatively less expensive, good bus service to Vail and Beaver Creek, centrally located in Avon, clean, helpful staff, and numerous hot tubs and pools. The Bad: Units are small and the furnishings have seen better days, DishTV service doesn't include local stations like TV8 so you can't get local weather forecasts, perpetual smell of chlorine everywhere, lots of... more

This place was OK - nothing horribly wrong, nothing fantastically great. The feng-shui of the bedroom was poor. The bed is right near the entrance and pushed up against a wall, so someone has to climb over the bed to get in. There is only an electric skillet to cook with, which is a slight pain, but there's several bbq's... more

I have stayed at a lot of places, this one I would drive by quickly! 1) Staff rude and unhelpful 2) Very difficult to find your way around, only one set of elevators and lots of levels and stairs 3) They will try and place you facing the freeway 4) No one to assist you with luggage 5) Becareful, they... more
