Very nice cabins. Each with picnic table, BBQ area. Horseshoes, games and cards in cabin plus small flat screen tv full kitchen, bath. We booked last minute. I was in car calling around cabins while my husband popped inside. Owner told me on the phone he didn't have anything but rented a cabin to my husband so not sure if... More

The hosts were very rude! We asked for extra trash bags and they threw a fit (we stayed 4 nights and had 3 trash bags for a family of 5) we had friends over for a bbq which and the owner cam stomping over and started being rude. We will never stay here again! We spent well over $600 to... More

We decided to take the grandkids and inlaws on a vacation. So we had heard of vallecito lake. Stayed at the lone wolf lodge. After driving from Rio Rancho N.M. we got to vallecito lake the drive was just beautiful. My grandkids were excited to see dear, elk, and squirrels. We do a lot of fishing in New Mexico and... More

Me and the girlfriends family all meet up here for a weeding and rented cabins 1,2,&3 for 6days Thursday-Tuesday. We all don't get to see each other much so here we are thinking after driving 12hrs we were going to have some family fun cookout drink some beers and blow off some city stress ...Wrong they don't want any noise... We do not rent cabins much so for us we were not sure what to expect. We ended up, with helpful guidance via email, with cabin #4. There were 5 of us, 2 adults and 3 young kids and it worked out perfectly. Our first morning we went outside and "reviewed" the play area. It consists of swings, tetherball, a... More

This was a great cabin! There was a nice stream a short walk from the cabin and Lake Vallecito was a great place for fishing and a short drive. We took the Durango & Silverton train which was wonderful. The scenery and weather was amazing. The kids had a great time especially with a very friendly neighborhood dog. The cabin... More

What else needs be said? The title really tells it all... The hosts, Bob & Karen were helpful and knowledgeable and took time to explain about the different places to go. The grounds are super and well maintained. Plenty of grassy lawn and elbow room. The grandchildren could run and play without worrying about theim. The playground is not much,... More

I had lots of question prior to our visit. Bob, was very helpful and willing to answer my questions and give me plenty of information. He was very friendly and hospitable. The cabin was clean and everything was in working order. There was a rocking chair on the front porch and it was awesome to sit in the cool weather... More

First I will talk about the good things. The cabin was very nice and very clean. They had a lot of activities for adults and children alike, i.e. horseshoe pit, tetherball, swings. It wasn't too far from the lake, however no lakeside views. Beautiful nonetheless. The host, on the other hand, was very rude and unprofessional. We had a party... More

My family enjoyed the Lone Wolf Lodge quite a bit. The cabin was very clean, the grounds lovely, free wi-fi, and the activities lots o' fun. We stayed in the three bedroom, and the space as just right. Vallecito Lake offered lots of rec opportunities, and we even got a boat, yo! We're on a boat! We had swim trunks,... More
