We stayed in one of their suites for two nights. The rooms are all recently remodeled and sparkling clean and new. The inn is located in downtown Basalt and is a 2 minute walk to several restaurants. Not sure about the problems some others have mentioned with the staff--the person we dealt with was friendly and helpful. Our one suggestion... More

I stayed here for business for a week. Thought everyone was pleasant and the rooms were clean and roomy loved the atmosphere of the town and every thing was within walking distance. The only thing with staying for a week was there wasn't a laundry. But there was one 5 min away.

It's disappointing that in a small quaint town like Basalt, that there has to be such rude employees who don't know how to do their job, nor care about the lasting impression they make on their customers. From the very beginning (a year before the wedding) mistakes were made and mis-information given. The wedding date had to be changed. After... More

Just like the previous review from this group I will say the same thing. This group was juvenile, rude, and had a feeling of entitlement. A year before the wedding this group came and looked at the property and said they liked it and left. In the meantime another group came in and liked it as well and put a... More

Stayed with a bunch of people here for a wedding and found the staff to be the rudest bunch of people I have ever come in contact with. Made a bunch of mistakes with the groups I checked in with and then tried to tell us it was because we had made so many changes. Rude and incompetent. The woman... More

After hosting many weddings we have never came across a group that behaved the way that this group did. They actually said that they were proud of being the worst group that we've ever had. Numerous people in the group either cancelled or tried to get out of the 2 night minimum that is in effect on people who take... More

Sorry for the delay in our review. Our stay in March was wonderful. Zach and the rest of the staff are so helpful and friendly. Your rooms are very homey and comfortable. We look forward to coming back to Basalt Mountain Inn. Thank you so much. :)

Great property with great location whether for day trips to Aspen or Snowmass Village to the south (about 20 miles) or north to Glenwood Springs (same distance) or to fish the Frying Pan river. Fished the Pan, Crystal river south of Carbondale and Roaring Fork from this great updated hotel. Parking is a challenge when busy and continental breakfast is... More

Booked a room at the last minute for a busy weekend in the area. They had a cancellation and fit us in. Room was clean and nicely set up for a night stay. The staff was wonderful. Both in the evening when we arrived and the next morning. Chatted with two different ladies regarding what to do in the area... More

This is a clean, comfortable, quiet and affordable place to stay in Basalt, Zach, the general manager, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast is good. We will definitely recommend the Basalt Mountain Inn to friends and family!

We have stayed here in the past when it was The Green Drake. The rennovation is fantastic. It is a quiet Inn, in the center of the historic district with reasonable rates. Can't beat it! Will stay here again.

My son and I stayed here when visiting Maroon Bells. We didn't want to stay in Aspen which is closest to Maroon Bells. This was the perfect solution. Beautiful location in a quaint little mountain town. Couldn't have been more pleased for the value, cleanliness and location.
