Lavender is charming, homely, but in need of a major face lift. The carpet in our room was filthy, with bits of lord knows what all over the place. Outside the patio area had obviously not been swept for a while and there were numerous cobwebs in all the corners -- surely an indication of inadequate maintenance. The staff were... more

My husband and I stayed here for one night in mid-May. The room we had (room #1) was very spacious with a LARGE bathroom (double sinks). The patio area was nice, although we did not use it. There was a nice fountain with running water...very peaceful. The main house has a wonderful front porch (with swing) and you are able... more

We stayed at Lavender for 1 day for a quick getaway. We have been to Napa before, and wanted to stay in Yountville b/c its such a walkable little town and we were dining at Bouchon that night and could walk. The web site is very misleading for this property. While they were incredibly friendly at the front desk, and... more

We had a great time at Lavender. It is so close to everything in Yountville. The rooms are great. The breakfast was great. Everyone there was very friendly and extremely helpful. We will definitely stay there again when we go back. more

Lavender is conveniently located on a quiet street off the main drag in Yountville. It offers a 50.00 meal certificate at Bouchon as part of its package which we like. The room we were in has a small courtyard adjoining which is an added attraction. The rooms here are also showing signs of age, upholster torn, carpeting stained, bathroom fixtures... more

When we arrived, we were greeted by a very pleasant woman who gave us a run-down of activities at the house and the schedule for evening wine/cheese and breakfast. She was able to make dinner reservations for us and answered all the questions we had about Yountville. Although it rained most of the time we were there, the property was... more

This is a perfectly serviceable B&B in Yountville in a great location with mediocre food. I've stayed in many B&Bs in the Napa/Sonoma area, and they really spoil you with the food. But, the food at this B&B was just fine; nothing special. On the other hand, the location is wonderful because you can walk to some of the best... more

Arrived at the Lavender during a dreary day of rain to find "Maid Marion" our hilarious (sometimes unintentionally) innkeeper who completely brightened the day. Full of warmth and verve, Marion made sure we were acquainted with the town, gave restaurant reviews, tons of information about local opportunities and even recommended the best shipping company for the wines we had purchased.... more

We stayed at the Lavender for 4 nights in one of the garden cottages. The room was very quaint with a large bathroom but our fireplace did not work (the hotel staff did give us a refund, but that was after the manager told us a credit would be given and upon checkout they tried to charge the full price.... more
