While traveling to No. California from the south we were going to need a place to overnight. The Best Western Shadow Inn in Woodland was not our first choice, but hotels a little further north had mixed reviews. We were glad we stopped here. Everything about the hotel was shipshape, clean and tidy. The price was good and the staff... more

We stayed 1 night. We had a big clean double queen room. Comfortable bed. Quiet on the inside of the motel overlooking the very good pool area, plenty of sunbeds and parasols. We swam in the pool, ask for towels at Reception. We had our evening meal at Dennys next door. The motel was surprisingly let down by a rather... more

Quiet, clean motel with a very helpful front desk staff. As stated in another review, the towels were somewhat skimpy, but the room was well-maintained. We didn't make it down to the breakfast, so can't comment on that. We stayed two nights as a base for visiting some ag-related activities and it turned out to be very convenient for getting... more

Stayed at the Shadow Inn in mid-August. Woodland is hot, hot, hot, but fortunately, the room air conditioner was up to the task. Pretty typical Best Western. Beds were good, pillows OK. Place was clean. TV worked. Liked the curved bar in the shower so the curtain doesn't attack you. Good location right off I-5. Convenient to the rest of... more

Stayed one night here on a long road trip. This was a nice distance stopping point from Portland onto Southern California. Was the best value of the 5 hotels we stayed at during the trip. When booking, I'd left a room request and one special instruction and when we checked in, they were ready. Front desk staff very professional and... more

The staff at this hotel was so friendly and accomodating. It was very hot that weekend and the only problem we had was that the air conditioning was straining to keep the room cool, but it was fine because the size of the room was wonderful and in 105 degree heat, it was doing the best it could. My husband... more

We stayed here one night since we were flying out of Sacramento the next morning. It was an older place, that could use some fresh paint, etc., but it was clean. We stayed on a top floor and it indicates it has an elevator, but we couldn't find one - so had to lug heavy bags up outside steps. The... more

My family and out of town friends stayed here for my graduation from UC Davis. Davis hotels are overpriced and fill up quickly during graduation season, so I booked the Shadow Inn sight unseen in February. We headed over there after graduation for a champagne toast and I was really impressed with the hotel. Even though it's a Best Western,... more

A good clean place to stay. Very pleasant grounds, 2 pools, spa. Wi-Fi access worked well from our room. Nice breakfast in the lobby. Location is a little distance from town, next to the highway, but this was not a problem. more
