While we enjoyed our 2 day stay here I can't agree with the 5 star rating of other reviewers. The Calico Cottage is so small it beggars belief with the shed in my back garden at home probably twice the size. However, on the upside you do have your own private patio where we enjoyed a couple of beautiful evenings... More

We have stayed at many places in our travels and while many were above average Wicky Up Ranch B & B far exceeded our expectations. From our first contact until our regretful departure we were treated with respect, fantastic breakfasts ( orange juice is fresh squeezed from the grove & Jack's omelet is to die for ), beautiful surroundings and... About 25 years ago, we stayed at our first bed and breakfast inn, and we've been hooked ever since. Given a choice we prefer to stay at an inn versus a hotel/motel. But, over the years we have discovered that all bed and breakfast inns are not created equal. And only a few are equal to the hospitality and comfort... More

This place was so lovely. My beau and I live in L.A. and have fairly hectic lives, and staying at Wicky-Up was a peaceful, romantic weekend getaway. We also visited Sequoia Park. We stayed in the Lucy Harding room, which has portraits and an antique doll and beaded things as part of the decor. The bed and the robes were... More

I've had the pleasure of staying at the Wickyup Ranch twice and plan to visit there every year from now on. Monica and Jack are warm hosts in a warm and gentle environment. Although the Wickyup is an out-of-the-way stay for us when Karl and I attend the Tulare Antique Farm Equipment Show in April each year, we agree the... More

We honeymooned in California for 3 weeks in July and spent two nights at the Wicky-Up Ranch in Woodlake, which was our base for exploring the Sequoia / King's Canyon area. Monica, the lady of the house, welcomed us warmly on arrival and immediately made us feel at home in the historic, cosy ranch which has been in her family... More

I would like to give this 5 starts except that there were little things that were exagerated. The website says they accept pets, but they only accept pets in one room which is a former bunkhouse (called the Cottage) and it is much smaller than the photos. They say Bath and Body toiletries, but it was an opened, used bottle... More
