The cool night air enhanced rhe stay in the Sherlock Room at this B & B. Arose to a superb breakfast of eggs, potatoes, muffins, yogurt and fresh fruit salad, juice and coffee. Bruce Smith is the exceptional host making it all really comfortable and relaxing at affordable prices. Winters itself is a lively little town with a western feel... More

What a lovely place to stay for our girls weekend. The Inn has 5 bedrooms, each with their own bath (3 with jetted tubs) plus a loft. Beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean with starched linens and fluffy towels. The Inn is fully restored with modern conveniences (like great bathroom lighting, good shower water pressure/temp and a/c) but retains the turn of... More

Imagine, a small town with big possibilities! Quaint, Quiet, and Calm! Escape the traffic, bustle, nonsense and spend a relaxing weekend (or two) in Winters at the Abbey House Inn. Charming does not begin to describe this lovely and tastefully decorated inn. The rooms are clean, lovely and quiet. You are greeted by a caring and considerate inn keeper who... More

The Abbey House Inn was convenient, charming and full of amenities that anyone could want or need. The Inn Keeper "Bruce Smith" was also charming, helpful and very accommodating. He recommended local places to eat, wine taste, drink and visit. All panned out to be excellent local establishments and within walking distance, except for the Davis Farmers Market which is... More

Beautiful home, clean and comfortable. Usually the proprietor cooks breakfast for guests, but we brought our own food since our group rented the whole place & wanted to be in charge of the food. Nice, fully stocked kitchen. Love the covered porch and easy walk to anywhere we wanted to shop or dine. Quaint downtown with a variety of different... More

Really enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return. Bruce, the proprietor, is warm and welcoming, and we appreciated lots of lovely details, including the robes, hair dryer and makeup mirror. This is not a "fussy" B&B, but rather a comfortable place -- more like a homestead rather than a big old victorian. Wonderful linens, good breakfast, great conversations... More

We stayed at the Abbey Inn 4 nights in April 2014 and had an all around wonderful experience. The Inn is nicely furnished with period furniture and décor. Rooms are clean and the bed is very comfortable. The breakfasts vary each morning and are a culinary delight! The Inn keeper, Bruce Smith, is professional, efficient and engaging in conversation. 'Came here on a solo overnight trip for dinner and a concert in-town. The Inn is very quaint, clean, and the proprietor operates a very efficient bed and breakfast. His service rendered to guests is spectacular! My room was immaculate, well priced, and exceedingly quiet. Don't miss the delicious breakfast included!

We had a great stay! Arrived at 2 pm and Bruce checked us in early and was very welcoming. We had a relaxing hour in front of the fireplace reading and drinking tea. Then, we had a restful night and woke up to a fresh pot of coffee, followed by a delicious homemade breakfast. This is a great property in... More
