LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! That's all that's good about this park. It sold about a year ago...it was KOA. Now it's ridiculously expensive for what you get except the OCEAN! If that's all you care about than this is the place for you. It's about 20 miles from Fort Bragg so stock up. We used to stay for a month every... More

We stayed in site 163... It was bigger than all the other RV sites. As other travelers have mentioned, you are cramped- RV sites are on top of each other. The group and tent sites were much more roomy and private. It was full when we stayed and very quiet...which was quite a surprise. The Rec room has a good... More

You have a choice to camp on the beach with a tent, next to the beach with your RV or tent with hookups or protected from the wind in the trees but still very close to the ocean. Not all sites are equal! Some are wide but not deep but with hookups and others are no power sites. Make reservations... More

Lots of people yelling, sometimes angry and vulgar (they called it a party) after midnight. No response from management. Puppy left unattended and whining for eight hours in their trailer, their other dog roamed the grounds that whole time. Management absent. Lots of poop from these dogs, and many others. Our site had two big loads on the ground when... More

We tent camped with two large families. It was very costly, but the place was nice., the kids had fun, rode on bikes and played at the park. Nice that the beach is right there and they will take your wood down to the beach for you to have a bonfire on the beach. I would have rated it higher... More

This was our first trip to this campground. It used to be a KOA but now has private owners. We took our 32 Vista to the campgrounds. The office and store were quite small. The store had food and fishing items in it. Our reservation was in the system and check-in was easy. Our camp site was towards the ocean... More

My wife and I were deeply disappointed by this campground. When we made our reservations this place was a KOA. When we arrived it was no longer a KOA and certainly did not meet KOA standards. The rates had gone up and the KOA Value Kard discount we had been promised was not honored. In addition, we were treated coldly... More

My new wife and I wanted to have a beach wedding, but without any undue expense related to renting a venue. So, we reserved a group campsite at Westport. Our plan was to stake out a piece of sandy beach in the morning, celebrate until quiet time, and get everyone back on the road the following day. Thanks to the... More

You can camp right on the beach but I would suggest getting a protected site which blocks the wind. The sites are mostly back in with a picnic table, fire ring and 50 amp service. The narrow roads make for a slightly more challenging back in for longer rigs but make a reservation and pick your site to avoid any... More

This was one of many stays on a trip down to southern CA with our trailer. We stayed 2 nights here in mid April. We arrived late at this KOA because of car trouble. Be advised coming south on Hwy 1 there are no gas stations for at least 20 something miles and its very remote so be prepared. Anyways... More
