We were fortunate enough to book in at this hotel on a recent trip from San Francisco to Seattle. It is an absolute delight. We stayed in the front room overlooking the sea. It was beautifully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea on arrival and were... More

We picked the Westport Hotel for an overnight stay primarily because it was about halfway on our itinerary from San Francisco to Bandon, Oregon. But what we got was so much more than a mere overnight stay. This is a *beautifully* redone old hotel, complete with interesting artwork, lovely garden, very nice hosts, and lots of little tasteful extras. The... More

I stopped at the 19th century Westport Hotel after a rigorous day of biking from Garberville. I had selected Westport because it was the first town down the Mendocino Coast from the North, and I knew I’d be tired. Man what a great stop! The hotel, which has only a few rooms, has been completely restored/renovated. Nicely done, not at... More

We loved our room overlooking the ocean at the Westport Hotel. Our front balcony room was perfect. The room was nicely appointed and comfortable. The Breakfast was very good and very well timed. Coffee and scones delivered to room and the breakfast in the parlor. Lovely!

I'm pretty sure that this is the last completely lovely place to stay on Hwy 1 before you head towards 101 in Leggett. The rooms and bathrooms are elegantly simple and clean and perfect for quiet retreats. It was fun to bring our own dinner (we stopped at a grocery store in Fort Bragg) and loved our walk across the... More

Did very little research for trip delivering new sports car from Oregon to San Francisco but knew we wanted to take 2 days on Highway 1 and Westport was the first city in Northern California where 101 and 1 split to the coast. About 5 hours north of San Francisco if you stay on Highway 1 the entire distance. I... More

A nice bed and breakfast! Very close to the ocean with a great view from the hotel entry, not from the room though. We arrived late on our stay after traveling and they left our key out and asked that we just let ourselves in! We stayed only one night and left early the next morning, this was a very... More

Westport is a small settlement about 1/2 hr north of Ft Bragg, and worth the drive if you're looking for a quaint, comfortable hotel outside the main town. We were in room 3, one of the rooms facing the main road. The road is lightly travelled, but car noise during the night is relatively loud, since it's otherwise so quiet.... More

My wife and I found the hotel in a Lonely Planet guide book. The owners Doreen and Lee were present most of the time. The room and hotel were very clean. Service very friendly and supportive. Excellent sauna. Room 304 has a balcony with a full view of the ocean. Very elegant decor, interesting art on the walls. Breakfast very... More

My mom and I stayed at the Westport Hotel while on a week-long road trip. Our room included a balcony that overlooked the Pacific, and we watched the sunset while enjoying delicious tea and scones. It was wonderful. We very much appreciated the awesome art throughout the hotel and garden, and I definitely appreciated the sauna. The customer service was... More
