Westport is a small settlement about 1/2 hr north of Ft Bragg, and worth the drive if you're looking for a quaint, comfortable hotel outside the main town. We were in room 3, one of the rooms facing the main road. The road is lightly travelled, but car noise during the night is relatively loud, since it's otherwise so quiet.... More

My wife and I found the hotel in a Lonely Planet guide book. The owners Doreen and Lee were present most of the time. The room and hotel were very clean. Service very friendly and supportive. Excellent sauna. Room 304 has a balcony with a full view of the ocean. Very elegant decor, interesting art on the walls. Breakfast very... More

My mom and I stayed at the Westport Hotel while on a week-long road trip. Our room included a balcony that overlooked the Pacific, and we watched the sunset while enjoying delicious tea and scones. It was wonderful. We very much appreciated the awesome art throughout the hotel and garden, and I definitely appreciated the sauna. The customer service was... More

After a hectic 10 days of touring wine country and CA, we enjoyed a night in the lovely Westport Hotel. The room was spacious with a balcony and an ocean view. A sleepy little town overlooking a spectacular view of the ocean. Blackberry bushes everywhere and public, direct access down to the beach. Cute little grocery store just a block... More

Westport is a beautiful remote place on the North Coast. It feels much more remote than it really is. (three and a half hours from the Bay Area via Laytonville). This section of the coast, located 45 minutes north of Mendocino, just before the Lost Coast, gets light traffic. In the middle of this little town is the beautifully renovated... More

The Westport Hotel is best described as a B&B and not a hotel. But unlike most B&B's it can be more like a small Hotel with a few other people also there. Actually, we (2) were the only people staying when we were there. But the common rooms are large and there are many outdoor places to sit and enjoy... More

We followed the advice of others and stayed at the Westport Hotel after a tough drive from the north. The outside of this hotel holds a real surprise. Our room was nicely decorated and featured a balcony with a great view of the ocean. The bed was particularly comfortable. Breakfast was the real treat. Our hostess provided us with custom... More

Westport is a very small town on the northern CA coast, and the Westport Hotel is quite a pleasant surprise. While the building is old, the entire hotel has been remodeled and is in tip top shape. Rooms on the front of the hotel have ocean views and are somewhat larger than the other rooms. The downstairs area is very... More

This is just a review to state that the pub/restaurant associated with this hotel is currently closed and apparently has been closed since early July 2013 based on another review I recently saw below. However they have not updated either their website nor their outgoing phone message to state as such. I guess from the review below, they only serve... More

We booked a room with a view of the ocean and were not disappointed over our weekend. The hotel really has been brought up to high standards during its years of remodeling and refit. The stairs were beautiful hardwood and did not creak when climbing. Everything is so well done. We only regret the restaurant and pub was closed for... More
