Growing up and having lots of family in Los Angeles has limited my experience with the hotels in the city. So it was really fun having a chance to do just that as we celebrated my Dad's wedding, and stayed, at this hotel. I'm a sucker for monumental architectural achievements and the Tower certainly is just that. It's art-deco without... More

There is only so much you can do with an old hotel. You want to keep the charm but we want wifi , flat screens, etc. They have done a good job merging the two. The lobby with its vintage dark paneling is small, cave-like and shockingly dark after the California sunshine, but its beautiful and you wont see another... More

I can't say enough about this hotel. It's my favorite in California and one of my top hotels in the USA. I travel a lot with my job and always look forward to visiting la as I know I'll get to stay at the tower. Everything is so perfect from ambassador Tim Cunningham and his staff to maitred James Lukanik... More

I stayed a few months ago but wasn't as impressed. This time I absolutely loved it and this is my top hotel in LA now. I LOVE this place. The feel of it, rooms, pool, it's amazing. Now my #1 favorite hotel in LA - and can't wait to come back each month for work!

The service is as good as the building is beautiful. The rooms are large and beautifully appointed, the location is excellent, and the service is thoughtful and discreet. The breakfast is varied and delicious and the bar has perfect drinks. Finally the hotel charmed me because with everything being such high quality, I would expect rooms to coast twice as... More

Jeff Klein a genius hotelier Yet again I returned to the sunset towers and as always it was my home away from home. From the second I arrived to the moment I sadly had to leave everything was total perfection. Since I last stayed the terrace has been transformed and looks stunning. I was so happy to be greeted buy... More

The tower is the only hotel I frequent that makes me feel like I'm home. The Terrace is perfect for breakfast--just ask for Angel and he will take care of you. The rooms are clean and comfortable; the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful and the Terrace and Tower Bar are amazing places to eat, drink or just read a... More

The Sunset Tower is iconic of the movie industry in the 20s; the art deco architecture is still here, you will meet some people from the entertainment industry. The service is correct; the terrasse with the small pool is perfect for a drink or breakfast. The room are quite small but the view on Los Angeles is stunning. The hotel... More

Sunset Tower is a gem! The quality and service is unmatched compared to other hotels in the vicinity. I love staying here and dining poolside. Angel is the best ever! He always provides the best service to us.

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
