5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW via mobile

This is the first time I have ever reviewed anything. I just don't take the time. I finally felt like I needed to tell anyone looking for a wonderful place to call "home" in LA about the wonderful secret of the Sunset Tower. I found this place a number of years ago when my daughter was working in LA. I... More

Years ago this historic classic Art Deco property were first apartment homes for motion picture people and in my day I stayed here when it was The St. James' Club which I was a member. From the moment you enter the lobby to walking to the upscale yet comfortable dining room or terrace and pool restaurant and bar with a... More

My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and selected Sunset Towers because of it's proximity to a concert we were attending. We've traveled extensively and can honestly say, this place is special. As we arrived Nick & Steve welcomed us and took care of the car. Devon at the front desk made check-in a breeze, and Dean took care... More

This is our new home in West Hollywood! After having a place in Venice we absolutely love the Sunset Tower! We have now stayed a couple times. We highly recommend for so many reasons. The staff is absolutely amazing, especially Angel. Angel goes above and beyond to make our stay special. His personality and effortless ways are appreciated. We also... More

Recently me and my wife stayed at the Sunset Tower in Hollywood, CA and we had a great experience with the staff. In particular Angel, our morning waiter and the reception, Esther and Tucker. They were always attentive to our needs and fulfilled our request speedily. By the end of our stay we felt we were staying at a friend's... More

This hotel is a find like no other. Trendy, stylish, and spirited only begin to describe it. The service, especially in the restaurant, is eye-catching. James Lukanik is an Institution: he will make you feel like you are the the most important person in the world. Angel will bend over backwards to ensure your satisfaction, and Katie, ever dashing, will... More

This review is long overdue as I have been lucky enough to have been coming to the Sunset Tower for years and years. It truly is my home away from home. It goes wthout saying that hotel ambassador Tim Cunningham is the host par excellance and always makes me and every guest feel beyond welcome and at home. The Tower... More

One secret that hasn't quite become overrun is the indoor/outdoor/poolside restaurant at the Sunset Tower Hotel. Where the nightly bar is a hassle to get into as it is a very in scene, the restaurant is still a well kept secret. During my short stay I saw Marisa Tomei, Oliver Platt and Tony Goldwyn. Food is yummy, great views and... More

If you are looking for a private, quiet, and intimate hotel, then Sunset Tower is for you. The hotel decor is spot on. It's hard to find a hotel that hosted all of the original Hollywood greats. Also, the cherry on top is that you are treated like one of the "greats" throughout your stay. I see that quite a... More

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
