Based on stays at similar hotels nearby (such as the Standard), I was expecting lots of glamor, lots of hip decor, and attitude off the charts. I was surprised to find the staff as helpful and friendly as the property and rooms were beautiful. I have to admit I was a little shocked at first---aren't we in West Hollywood?---but in... more

I'm very surprised by some of the rave reviews unless perhaps they stayed in the new construciton villas. From the moment you step through the door (and by the way although there is an employee at the front door he failed to acknowledge my hello as I entered), you feel the atmosphere of a motel. Lobby is non-existent. In fact... more

If at all possible, try to stay in a villa, well worth the money in my opinion. The surrounding gardens are a nice relaxing retreat and there is plenty of room to relax or whatever else you're into. The concierge was absolutely fantastic, the room service person was exceptional, and the even the guy at the front door was a... more

If so - spend a night at the Sunset Marquis. I am not addicted to sleep but yet - can't argue the decadence of slithering into a a bed that feels like a cloud. And I'm not talking those thing wispy types. I mean full on cumulus - cotton ball clouds. That alone, in my book, is reason to stay... more

My stay at Sunset Marquis Hotel was magical! From the staff, the food, bar, drinks, customer service, my stay was perfect! The hotel is not too small yet not too big. It's in a perfect location, close enough to resturants, shops, you name it. I stayed in one of the villa suites and the room took my breath away! The... more

I just stayed at the Sunset Marquis (over Easter weekend) for the first time, and I was absolutely blown away by the gorgeousness of the grounds, and the commitment & kindness of the staff. Everyone went above and beyond to make my stay there as comfortable as possible. My room (junior suite) was beautiful, the food was delicious, and it... more

I was only at the hotel briefly, but enjoyed every minute I was there. The location is extremely convenient to the Beverly Hills/West Hollywood/West LA area, and although it's just below the madness of Sunset Boulevard, my room was very quiet and felt like an oasis in the city. The main building where I stayed appears to be a converted... more

I stayed here in October and am just finally posting a review! I have stayed here in the past and love the service and location. This is the first time I have been back since the renovation /expansion and it is amazing! They added a whole new section that looks like it has been there forever because of the landscaping.... more

I was in LA for the weekend, and decided to stay at Sunset Marquis. I reserved a one bedroom Villa. I had seen pictures online of this place, but when I got there I was seriously blown away! From the second you're greeted at the curb to the personal tour of the property, to the turn down service - it... more

The Sunset Marquis is a small little hotel in West Hollywood. The location is great if you need to be in that part of town. The hotel itself was ok. It was pretty plain with nothing out of the ordinary to add excitement. The room was modest but comfortable. By the time I was ready to check out I was... more
