Talk about incognito... from the outside this doesn't look like very much, once inside. WOW. From the 'Morrison Hotel Museum' with its unique artwork to the cool bar inside to the courtyard pool to the resto-bar inside this wonderful side of a hilltop hotel, you will absolutely LOVE it. The rooms are spacious, the staff are super nice (some speak... More

Good - Concept, Location, Staff, Room decor Head-shaking bizarre & disgusting - Hair everywhere!!! I expect 2 star hotels to miss things while cleaning a room but not one of the top rated hotels in LA. Especially when paying $395 for the room. So here is the rundown: We checked in late, like 9 pm, so I was preparing for... More

The Sunset Marquis is a great property, and great to stay at with kids since the rooms are all suites - large and clean, new bathrooms. Just make sure to ask their team to check your suites for maintenance BEFORE you check-in, as we encountered multiple issues and have heard of others having the same complaint. The team is very... It is on a dead end street... but it is only a very short walk to the Middle Of Everything. The grounds are nice. Bungalows. More of a bungalow hotel. It is like a hotel that shares the property with the bungalos. It seems to be recently renovated. The coffee is very good. The room has a nice sitting area... More

Sunset Marquis enhance its legend with a service very close to an absolute perfection. It is even somehow quite amazing; it took us only the time to get to our rooms and 2 people were delivering the extra bed we asked for. Everything looks obvious. Rooms are great with huge and spectacular bathroom. This is a generous place were you... More

the hotel is Ok, the service is OK, the food is very very poor. I have never had to leave a club sandwich or a cheeseburger from how bad they tasted before.....the rooms are huge, but very old, I guess people love old hotels in Hollywood were VIP's threw up on the floor back in the 80's or were they... Drop in and drop out and this joint. I love staying at the Sunset Marquis. The beds are so comfortable, the staff are relaxed and helpful, the bars are cool and the food is pretty good as well. Once you are relaxing with a drink either by the pool or by the up stairs bar you will start to unwind... More

After several years " break" my wife and I returned to this hotel and now we wouldn't stay anywhere else in the West Hollywood/ Beverley Hills area. Excellent staff, first class restaurant and large , well furnished and sparklingly clean rooms. Once your inside the hotel you could be almost anywhere. It's completely enclosed, quiet yet only a few yards... More

I liked everything, from the professional staff, to the spacious room, excellent bathroom with Molton and brown amenities and the comfortable bedding. As the Hotel does not have its own Fitness room guests are allowed to use the equinox fitness, few minutes away which is for an European an amazing experience. Its one of the people watching places and gives... More

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
