If you are within a 100 mile radius of this property and you need a place to stay, this should be your only option. No matter the cost of the room, this is again, the only place to stay. From the moment your vehicle pulls up to the front of the Sunset Marquis awning and you are warmly greeted by... More

After a few days at another hotel for business, I jumped over to the Marquis hotel for a few days, and it was well worth it. This was my first time staying in one of the Bungalows, and I'll never go back. Tucked away amongst a myriad of lush landscaping the bungalows offer a welcome break from the city. Rooms... More

So me and 3 friends decided to stay here for just short of 2 weeks as park of a 3 week holiday. One of my friends done all the booking so I had no knowledge of what the place is like or the different types of rooms available. When we arrived I was not disappointed. This place is at the... More

From the road you almost don't realize the hotel is there, which is a plus in my book. Standard rooms are clean, decent but old and a little overpriced, small and often very noisy. Restaurant, bar and grounds are all lovely, romantic and atmospheric. This self assured, stylish but brassy little hotel is ideally situated to walk up to Sunset... More

Decided to book a two night stay in West Hollywood during a two week stay in Southern California and chose the Sunset Marquis over the Standard and the Chateau Marmont as I had been reading about the flair and the excellent customer service at this place. Sadly, the whole experience of our stay at the Sunset Marquis left us with... More

I stayed at the Sunset Marquis on a recent work trip and I couldn't image a better, more supportive place to have has a home-base while traveling on business. They rooms are large, clean and very conducive to getting a lot of work done (big table, lots of light, tasty room service, etc.). I'll definitely be back.

Great location, staff, and grounds. This is a wonderful hotel, and we very much enjoyed our stay in West Hollywood. From the outside, I was a bit nervous about the quality. However, once inside I was quite pleased with this well-located gem. Logan and the staff were so friendly and welcoming and tended to our every need. We stayed in... More

Talk about incognito... from the outside this doesn't look like very much, once inside. WOW. From the 'Morrison Hotel Museum' with its unique artwork to the cool bar inside to the courtyard pool to the resto-bar inside this wonderful side of a hilltop hotel, you will absolutely LOVE it. The rooms are spacious, the staff are super nice (some speak... More

Good - Concept, Location, Staff, Room decor Head-shaking bizarre & disgusting - Hair everywhere!!! I expect 2 star hotels to miss things while cleaning a room but not one of the top rated hotels in LA. Especially when paying $395 for the room. So here is the rundown: We checked in late, like 9 pm, so I was preparing for... More

The Sunset Marquis is a great property, and great to stay at with kids since the rooms are all suites - large and clean, new bathrooms. Just make sure to ask their team to check your suites for maintenance BEFORE you check-in, as we encountered multiple issues and have heard of others having the same complaint. The team is very... Staying in West Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
