If you haven't heard of the Chateau and you would up here by accident you may wonder what is going on, well I'll tell you what's what! This hotel is old Hollywood in all it's castle like splendor! But let's not be misguided; it's not just old Hollywood for the heart of this hotel still beats strong with a mad... more

My husband and I decided to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary by staying in Hollywood, CA. We had seen the Chateau many times in our travels so decided we would give it a shot! What a great idea that was! The hotel is conveniently nestled right off Sunset Blvd but is also very quiet and private. We had booked... more

Room was not clean upon arrival. When reporting to the concierge we had to plead our case for them to fix it or give us an alternate room. Rather than apologizing they attempted to just have us deal with it instead of accommodating us. I feel like if we had assistants or an alias to check in under, they would've... more

One of my friends in "the biz" decided to treat himself to a stay at the C.M recently, . This hotel/castle off Sunset has quiet a lot of celebrity mythology (old and new) about it so I was in the area/bored and jumped at the chance to actually have an excuse to visit it without seeming like the usual Hollywood... more

Never stayed here before but wanted to try as on business without my wife. Heard it was a celeb place. Very nice staff and secluded even though right off busy Sunset Blvd. Good homestyle food and nice lounge. Did not see any on famous but can see why they would stay here. Nothing in the room is new except the... more

Why can't life always be like this? We got the cheapest room in the joint. It was still heaps! HEAPS! What we spent at Chateau would've gotten us around the world and a half. We stayed for 2 nights and ordered lots of room service, for your gauge. The room service was comedicly fast. Feels like you just put the... more

I think the reviews of this hotel really say it all - you love it or hate it. For me, it was love. When you check in, it does feel like the hotel california, with alcoves, dim lighting and a bit of spookiness throughout. It didn't help that my room was number 66! True, it is a bit musty and... more

I stayed here with a friend who always raved about the glamour of the Chateau but I was very hard pressed to find anything glamourous about this faded screen star. Granted, our room was big but the bathroom had peeling paint, a tub stopper that was a moldy circle of plastic, and no, I repeat, no power outlets. Not good... more

The Chateau Marmont is a beautiful old hotel. It's very old Hollywood. And that's part of the problem: The rooms are small, not especially comfortable (the bathroom was bigger than the room, it felt) and the walls are super thin. I know that the Chateau is where Hollywood types party, and perhaps I should have expected the screaming at 3am... more

This was our second year running at the hotel - last year we brought the kids and rented a cottage in the grounds. This year we had a first floor rear facing suite with no kids - perfect. My wife and I just love the hotel, the pool, the staff and especially the terrace restaurant. Everyone has a script with... more
