Nice place, nice people. Went to LA w/ a sister and my 75-yr-old mother. Had a lot of fun at this very unique hotel and the staff was quite lovely. The bedroom of the suite was very comfortable, altho' the pull-out couch left a lot to be desired. The suite was not quite what I expected (I expected something more... More

Our stay at this quaint hotel in West Hollywood was nothing short of delightful. The rooms are very comfortable and the rooftop patio with pool is a wonderful spot to unwind after a busy day. However it was the staff that made our stay the memorable one that it was. Everyone was friendly, helpful and they all went to great... More

I just returned from a girls' weekend here with my mom and grandma, and we had a fabulous time! The location was perfect...very centrally located to the Sunset Strip and Santa Monica Blvd. so you are within easy access to Beverly Hills, Hollywood, and lots of other fun areas. I'd read many other reviews before I booked the trip so... More

Having already had amazing experiences in hotels on our trip from San Francisco via LA to Las Vegas, I was a little apprehensive that the hotel we'd splashed out most on may not live up to expectations. On arrival though we knew we'd made the right choice. Located on a quiet street off the busy Santa Monica Boulevard, Le Petit... More

I stayed at the Petit Ermitage when travelling on business in February. Not the easiest places to find but sat nav definitely helped. Once I arrived mind you my stay was a complete joy from start to finish. The room even though located near the lifts was very quiet and spacious with its own living area. If you're looking for... I typically spend 6 months out of the year in Europe travelling and have stayed at many of the best "Gold List" hotels across the globe...Petit Ermitage should be included in the Conde Nast "gold list". I found this hotel to be exceptional in ambiance, service, comfort. I was completely transported to a 1920's romantique et boheme Côte d'Azur escape.... More

I've been privileged to stay at some of the finest hotels on three continents over a 50 years span. Petit 'Ermitage, hidden on quiet Cynthia St.is a jem. Everthing is personal and done with care. From the cleanliness of the room, the attitude of all personnel, to the 4th floor resturant and Cabana. You are bound to enjoy this unique... More

I reached the hotel by car late in the afternoon - Valet parking only but the person on duty showed up once I had parked in the drive way & walked up to the Reception. Altough recommended by a local travel agent, I got a ground floor Junior Suite (very dark) with fenced windows & musty carpet smell. The bathroom... More

We have seen so many “hotel” hotels worldwide, that we always try to locate a little gem to serve as our “home away from home”. Something more personal with comfort and character and a great vibe. So we picked the boldly bohemian Le petit Ermitage for our 10 day stay and loved every second of it. To be honest, this... More

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
