It's really well situated, calm neighborhood. I only have a few issues with this hotel, which is that the carpet desperately needs replacing, it has the infamous dated carpet smell and the roof top pool is very frequented, with no guarantee for residents for even a chair at most times. It's a successful pool club, with many young joint smoking... More

This hotel is a conundrum. Having first stayed here back in 2010 when I was a starry eyed LA virgin, I thought the whole place oozed sophistication. 5 years on I'm a little more jaded with the TV & Film industry and the same goes for the Petit Ermitage. My hotel of choice when on business in LA over the... More

My friend from LA recommended we stay here due to it's location and most of all it's reputation as being a cool, hip hotel with a rooftop pool and restaurant . Upon arrival we couldn't check in until after 4.30pm as the room wasn't ready so we had a late lunch upstairs on the rooftop. It was a lovely experience,... More

If you are lucky enough as we were to stay on the 3rd floor (don't), there is an extremely loud music club that plays pounding music until 1 am. Plus the walls are extra thin. The hotel is pretty tacky and truly needs a significant renovation. Plus, no foam pillows. Don't stay here.

This hotell is truly a gem. Both breakfast, pool chill and pre drinks on the rooftop oasis made the stay a memorable one. The rooms are chabby chick but clean. Celebs all over the place but still discrete. The hotell is located on a quiet street just around the corner from both shopping and restaurants. The one thing that was... More

Hello, I am glad that you realize how much of a gem our hotel is. Our rooftop is definitely quite the experience. We do have celebrities that like to stay with us, our favorite ones are the hummingbirds and butterflies that absolutely adore our breathtaking garden! The Hotel is at a great location in L.A. what ever you are doing in the city is not that far away. The food is awesome, and the drinks at the roof top bar (Specially the Mezcal drink's) are out of this world. Im going back on July this year to L. A. and will be visiting again.

Erick, Thanks for this review and for staying with us. Our rooftop is magical and will transport you to another state of mind. Our Mescal definitely helps with this "voyage" to our world. Le Petit Ermitage is a totally delightful small (well by US standards) hotel in the centre of West Hollywood. Large comfortable rooms (many with kitchenette), stunning roof top pool area & bar, great restaurant. Best bread in LA for breakfast. Very relaxing, personal establishment.

Fabulous little themed hotel. It's a dream. Sweet dreams. However, it seems best for couples rather than visitors on their own. My room had a kitchenette and fireplace and a separate area to work on my computer or draw in my sketchbook without getting graphite on the bedsheets.

So disappointed by my recent experience at this hotel. Came here for a staycation with my best friend and everything from the cleanliness to the service, amenities to the overall comfort was horrendous. When we first arrived the woman at the front desk questioned if my best friend and I would be sharing a bed. I thought that to be... More

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
