What a dump. Horrible location, like being on the street. Noisy. Filthy air. Questionable guests who are likely turning tricks. Yuck. I would not return here if I were paid to do so. On the other hand, ifb you like sleazy.....

Where to start with this place, charged a total $90 for the night it felt more to the likes of a really bad motel from a movie that is about bad motels. At most i'd pay $50 for this place. Things wrong. 1. Noise Levels, although it's not the motels fault they're on a main road used by emergency services,... More

This was my second time visiting the Alta Cienega Motel. My previous review was quite detailed so check it out if you want loads of detail. This time I stayed the night, and I have to say, this place is really fine if you are not a snob. It's budget but clean. Very outdated but really, if you just want... More

I am having to stay in hotels in my neighborhood while my condo is being remodeled. This motel is very basic but it is well maintained and very reasonable ($79/night plus tax plus $8 parking). Last time I stayed at the Holloway Motel which is right around the corner from here. I would recommend the Alta Cienega over the Holloway... More

Stayed here due to proximity to strip and Hollywood sign which are both minutes away. The motel was very basic and is overpriced for what you get but since it's la you pay more. The property is reasonably safe, some residents offered services to us late at night which were not what you normally would expect. It is quit noisy... More

Clean, functional and great location, but was pretty noisy - to be fair though, we were there on a Saturday night. The staff are really helpful and friendly, and there is free car parking with your room.

I would never stay here. It seemed a bit creepy to me. But my husband is a huge doors fan, so we just stopped by and paid the owners $20 to see the Jim Morrison tour. One of the most bizarre, but fascinating tourist things I've ever seen. The owner didn't rush us and let us take our time and... More

I spent two nights in this creepy motel, very tirdy, the owners live in their ownworld, they don't think people have to enjoy the place where they sleep. The bathroom (brrrr) was broken and they change us the room... and the new toilet was broken after the first utilize... I'm a traveller, and I don't spend a lot of money... More

I checked in and my mouth dropped when I saw the room. I walked right back to the office and was told I could not have a refund. I didn't want to pay for a room that looked like a meth lab/falling apart. I had to spend the night there...scary...and non of my friends that lived in West Hollywood would... More

I went with a group of 4 people to visit the bar scene on sunset blvd and this was the only place to stay under $300....$100 but not even worth it! In santa barbara the motel 6 is $60 max and waaaay better. I cant believe they can over charge so much and not even maintain their rooms! There were... More

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
