We stayed here for one night on our way south on 101. This camp ground is well kept, and has very nice sites. They allow camp fires within the designated Fire Rings, which is not the case further south. We enjoyed the camping, however, quite depends on your neighbors. Overall very nice.

Camped here last weekend with my husband and our two kids, 4 and 8 months. It was Labor Day Weekend and we were worried about getting a site--no reservations were available so we had to take our chances with the first come, first serve spots. We arrived around 11:30 on Friday and had our pick of any of the first... More

We love Hidden Springs! Great sites, warm showers, not a ton of rowdy rude people, and a fun swimming hole within walking distance (a beautiful little hike included). My kids love the Saturday night campfire at the amphitheater too.

We stayed here in site #47 during late June 2014 with our two teens and American Bulldog. We had a 33ft motorhome and maneuvered it to park with little trouble, even though this was our very first time RV'ing. The hillside loop is a bit narrow if you need to turn around (as we did) but we made it just... More

More then 70% of these sites are completely closed in from all neighbors- even at night! The wild, low greenage, keeps noise down, and there are no intrusive eyes from the campers next to you. We travel here every year, some 3,000KM round trip, just to enjoy this place. BEST ONE we have ever found! We have been here with... More

Stayed here overnight with my girlfriend. Everything was very well maintained and the grounds were clean. To my understanding the only wildlife that's commonly encountered on the sites is the blue jay. Actually lots of blue jays. The hiking trail within the campground is good but wasn't too exciting -- mostly new growth forest. However, the camp is situated on... More

We are a family of four, two adults, two kids ages 10 and 16. We just returned from a 10 day road trip camping adventure going from Portland, OR, then Crater Lake, and into the Redwoods for camping and hiking. We are experienced campers/back packers, but wanted a Redwood camping experience without back country wilderness camping with our children who... More

Last Friday night around 9pm, my boyfriend and I made the spontaneous decision to head up north from the Bay Area to the Humbolt Redwoods for the weekend. We camped at Hidden Springs. The drive took about three hours, and around midnight we rolled into the last site available for two nights: spot 105. It was perfect! The spots here... More

I really loved our first trip to Humboldt State Redwoods Park. We camped in the Hidden Springs Campground, which caters to tent camping. Many of the campsites are set back from the narrow road that winds through the campground, and we could not see any other tents from our site. The campground is heavily wooded, with trees and bushes providing... More

We stayed at the Hidden Springs Campground in the Humboldt Redwoods in mid July 2008. We had a wonderful time. We stayed with two other couples. The first thing we noticed as we drove into the park was that everything was neat and well maintained, as you would expect from a State Park. One aspect that I appreciated about this... More
