Nothing fancy, but a good place for a stopover. Motel was convenient, clean, comfortable, and quiet. A bit dated but good value for price. Attached restaurant had great food.... Staff was very friendly.

We checked in late and were told we were 'upgraded' to a two bedroom suite. The room was a nonsmoking room, yet the room had that old stale cigarette smoky smell and so did the towels. My clothes and husband's cpap machine even picked up the odor - yuk! Even worse was the room was filled with flies. I asked... More

I have to qualify this rating because it is what it is just a $60 room. We were on a road trip from Southern California to the Norther n Oregon and used this place as a one night stop over. We chose the Hi Lo because it looked like it had bigger rooms than the Motel 6 which we said... More

I love mom-n-pop motels, and this one ticks the boxes: cheesy neon sign, cute little units, small creek flows past lower rooms. The problem? The toilet ran all night, the room was slightly shabby and the beds and bedding didn't have that sparkling clean feel that most of us need on a sleepover. Maybe due for renovation, but meanwhile needs... More

We stayed in unit 10. Couldn't wait until morning because the unit smelled so strongly of old stale smoke. Must be in the carpet or something. Would not recommend if you are sensitive to tobacco smoke and dust. The carpet needed a good vacuuming along the baseboards. Even though the motel is old and tired, I expect the rooms to... More

We spent one night here on our way back to Canada from Palm desert. Very friendly person at the front desk and we asked for a quiet room and got room 19. There was a view of mt. Shasta from the window and we had a glass of wine at a table by our front door. Then we had dinner... More

A very adequate, inexpensive place to stay on your way up/down the 5. Clean, decent bed. Has a café that served great breakfast and comfort food dinners. Weed is a neat little (pop. just south of 3,000) town. Take a stroll around and read the plaques on each building. Great diversion from fast food and chain motels.

I am glad We found this place versus one of the bigger chain lodging locations. 60 bucks for 2 beds.. free Wi-Fi cable. I loved how they had soap dispensers in the... More

Stayed at the Hi-Lo Motel on September 13 for one night during a 16 day California road trip. Booked the Shasta Vista Suite with king size bed, spacious and beautifully furnished and decorated for $85. which I thought was a steal compared to the other places we stayed around the state. Room was quite, bed was comfortable and everything was... More
