This is a family run little motel and I'm afraid it kind of shows. The room was large, reasonably clean but old. Our room was in an area where there is an auto repair facility immediately behind. All night from time to time some loud machine would run for several minutes. I am guessing that is might be an air... More

Beware! There are bed bugs. I stayed night of the and was bitten on face elbow and hand. My first experience with bed bugs there. If you must stay there first remove all bedding, lay a clean plastic sheet and hangup all personal items. I encountered them once before in San Francisco and know the bite. Not good! The owner... I found this property on line, and as is my usual practice opted for a smaller more personable place rather than the well known. No worries here as there are no chains in this town. I booked a very last minute reservation (for that evening) and was surprised that the price remained the same and even when I explained that... More

When I first looked them up, I was a little apprehensive but went ahead based on the positive biker reviews since we would be rolling in on our bikes also. As noted by others before us, this cozy old inn is run by a nice elderly couple. Spoke to the husband when I called in our reservations. We found the... More

Opted not to stay there. As soon as I opened the door to the non smoking room, i got a big wiff of stale cigarette smoke. Everything seemed dingy. The neighbors seemed a bit scetchy as well. I didn't want to leave any valuables where they might see them. The man at the desk was extremely nice, I just wasn't... More

Had a great visit here. Basic motor inn but no issues, check in easy and restaurants nearby. Pool was available but I did not use it. Did not notice any noise issues at all. Bed was comfortable, shower was adequate, and TV had all the normal channels.

Not a ton of options in Weaverville. Based on availability, we chose the 49er. We reserved 6 rooms. When we arrived we were told that they only had 5 rooms for us. They had given one to a lady that booked a room on the wrong day and showed up at the last minute. We were passing through for work... More

The senior gentleman who owns this place is wonderfully welcoming and friendly. It's actually charming that they still use a spiral notebook and pencil to make reservations. It is a small town after all. Just call ahead a few days to conform your name is there. Our room was large with 2 queens. We were hiking for 3 days so... More

The room was clean. The bed was alright. Room had a coffee pot, fridge and microwave. Those things were great for me. The motel it self is old and it shows. It was quite and the price per night was great. It's what I would except for Weaverville. Will be staying there again.

Prior to the stay, I'd read the reviews and thought I knew what to expect but no one mentioned the appalling reek of stale cigarette smoke in Room 17. It wasn't just a little problem, it was knock you on your keister stink every time the door was opened. The whole motel was booked out for our group so no... More
