We stayed one night and had a lovely time. The room was very comfortable and well appointed. We stayed in one of the smaller rooms, the Daffodil. Volcano has a tiny old town you can walk through within minutes but it is worth the stroll for sure. Then back to the pub for a tasty dinner. Quite a few people... More

This lovely B & B, located in the heart of California's Gold Country and only 3 miles from Daffodil Hill, is a relaxing and wonderful place to stay. From the clean and comfortable rooms to the friendly and helpful staff and owners, I had a very pleasant stay. There are four rooms - two in the front with direct balcony... More

Beautiful hotel but beware the bar and restaurant are closed Monday and Tuesday and there is 15-20 mile drive to Sutter Creek restaurants. We had the place to ourselves with no staff there overnight - a first for us.

This place is great value and the food and service couldn't be better. We stayed two nights in the limon and terracotta rooms at the front - very comfortable and good value for money. (If you were trying to make this perfect then maybe some crisp white bed linen would do it - but that's really being a bit picky).... More

What's important? Atmosphere: garden patio is graceful & comfortable . Service: amazing, friendly, attentive and very enjoyable. Food: tried the duck wings, a long time specialty. Everything we ate, salmon, fried chicken was wonderful.

A group of food and wine enthusiasts took over all 4 rooms of the Union Inn for a weekend. The rooms were lovely, the included breakfast was excellent and we ate dinner at the Union restaurant both nights. The duck wing appetizer and lamb burger were two of the highlights in really tasty meals. The restaurant and hotel staff were... More

Others have already reviewed this hotel and their opinions are accurate. At least, the good ones are. We stayed in the Limon room with direct access to the balcony, a most enjoyable location for a glass of wine and a good book and which is accessible from all 4 rooms. But my appreciation is for the genuinely good people who... More
