We stayed at the Union Inn in Volcano for two nights at the beginning of April. Everything was excellent---the food (especially the breakfasts) the room, the welcoming atmosphere. We will be happy to return.

Being creatures of habit we visit here often. Volcano oozes charm and this place is no exception. The premises are very well operated with an eye for detail. Kitchen produces good clean food with a unique twist usually. The Duck wings are a personal favourite. Staff are friendly, prompt and courteous. We love going here and sitting on the patio... More

We've been trying to get back to the Union Inn since our 2012 visit, and it did not disappoint. Checked in and enjoyed some quiet time in the Terra Cotta room with fresh chocolate-cherry cookies and tea. Wi-fi worked well, as did our Verizon phones. Dinner in the pub was very good - great service and a nice crowd to... More

We really enjoyed our overnight stay, and have plans to go back in June for 2 nights with friends for wine tasting, a town play, and a trip to their sister restaurant, Taste, in Plymouth. The hotel is above their in house restaurant which we have eaten at many times...always good and reasonably priced. (I think both restaurants are Zagat... More

We stayed one night and had a lovely time. The room was very comfortable and well appointed. We stayed in one of the smaller rooms, the Daffodil. Volcano has a tiny old town you can walk through within minutes but it is worth the stroll for sure. Then back to the pub for a tasty dinner. Quite a few people... More

This lovely B & B, located in the heart of California's Gold Country and only 3 miles from Daffodil Hill, is a relaxing and wonderful place to stay. From the clean and comfortable rooms to the friendly and helpful staff and owners, I had a very pleasant stay. There are four rooms - two in the front with direct balcony... More

Beautiful hotel but beware the bar and restaurant are closed Monday and Tuesday and there is 15-20 mile drive to Sutter Creek restaurants. We had the place to ourselves with no staff there overnight - a first for us.

This place is great value and the food and service couldn't be better. We stayed two nights in the limon and terracotta rooms at the front - very comfortable and good value for money. (If you were trying to make this perfect then maybe some crisp white bed linen would do it - but that's really being a bit picky).... More
