We had trouble making a reservation on the LQ website and we thought we were booked (didn't receive a confirmation though) for $81 dollars. Got to the hotel and they didn't have a reservation for us, and they wouldn't honor the rate. Front desk clerk liked to finish your sentences for you! Other than that place was a little tired,... Very nice staff, very responsive. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff dealt with noisy guests right away. Close to freeway, 10 minutes to Oceanside pier. Very close to I5 for trips into San Diego, but out of the bad traffice.
