Okay, I'll admit it: I've come to EXPECT a complimentary breakfast at hotels. Thus, it was an unpleasant shock to realize that there was nothing other that the obligatory Starbucks (NOT free!) in the hotel lobby. The hotel itself is up to snuff; the rooms are comfortable and the usual amenities present and accounted for...but if toddling downstairs in your... More

Arlene744, Thank you for choosing our Visalia Marriott. I am glad to here our amenities met your comfort. I did want to help clarify any confusion. While many of our Marriott brands offer a complimentary breakfast included in the hotel stay, our full-service brand (hosting just the Marriott red sign) continues to provide a robust breakfast that is not included... Went for a nice night with just the husband after our room reservation was wrong we ended up with two double beds. Let's just say not my idea of a romantic night sleeping in opposite beds, beds were loud and on old frames mattresses were bent and just way too old, for what your paying for. Bathroom floor had hair... More

Very comfortable. Was able to have a refrigerator in the room. A microwave would have been nice. Staff polite and helpful. Enjoyed how close and convenient it is to the convention center. The fruit infused water in the lobby was a welcomed, refreshing touch.

We stayed on the 7th floor which was very quiet. The room was clean and spacious. The lobby had a small restaurant and coffee was available in the bar in the morning. There is also a coffee maker in the room. The lobby had fresh fruit water available at all times, which was very refreshing. I like that you could... More

As part of a large coach party, we arrived late afternoon and found a clean and comfortable hotel with a decent restaurant and bar and comfortable surroundings. Our room was clean and we had a good nights sleep, but as we were leaving fairly early the next morning we didn't get an opportunity to have a good look round.

My wife and stayed here on a business trip. Front desk desk service was fine but our room needed help. Carpet was stained, chairs were dirty, the wallpaper was peeling and it had a funny smell. I stayed at Marriott because I expect at least a satisfactory room but there was much to be desired. Hotel needs to be updated.... More

This hotel is an older marriott hotel but it has been updated and our room was clean, fresh and comfortable . 8 th floor. The executive lounge was tasteful and the snacks / drinks / breakfast were more than adequate . The big sell for me however was the service. Great service from reception to the bar to the lounge.... Although this is an older hotel they make up for a lot with their service. I am not even a Platinum Marriott member anymore yet they did everything here to make me feel special. This is an average hotel for the area, the best aspect is its location. It is near downtown Visalia, and about 45-60 minutes from the national park. Parking is free and there are plenty of spots available. The rooms and the hotel are a bit dated, I think they are still in the process of renovating some of the areas.... More

I stayed one night at the Marriott Visalia beside the small convention center. This is a surprisingly nice hotel for a town the size of Visalia. I paid $119.00 for a Saturday night - the hotel was pretty busy. What I like most about this hotel is that is located close to the old town center. You can easily walk... More
