Great hotel! We spend one night there just to visit the sequoia Park (half an hour away) . We relaxed in the big and clean pool and then a perfect night sleep in a clean and tidy room. Receptionist was nice and gave us all we needed. Really great.

Our room smelled like pee, it was dirty, the bathtub was kind of disgusting. The room was big but the TV was very small, like it was taken from the 9s. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. We only stayed 1 night and it wasn't worth the price at all.

Friendly, Clean... well appointed rooms. Nice pool... great price for what you get. Can't really fault it on any front. A bit dated and old fashioned, but clean, and you can kind of enjoy the retro vibe. Also has a nice cafe that we didn't get a chance to try, but will next time. Would definitely recommend, and would definitely... More

We stayed here two nights and were pleasantly pleased! The rooms were very clean and had everything we needed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant and the premise was a delight. We only had breakfast, but was very pleased. I would definitely recommend the motel and restaurants and would stay there again!

Room was clean, on the bottom floor, next to the stairwell. First night was fine, second night, kadunk, kadunk, kadunk. Pool was right out the door. Perfect for the grandson. Several restaurants to choose from within walking distance, besides the onsite restaurant. It was fun!

Family of 5. Two rooms booked. Clean and comfortable. Particularly liked the shower. And beds just great. Also free wifi. Pool great and warm and part of nicely landscaped area. No breakfast but plenty of local eateries. Recommended.

We loved this motel. We were on a whirlwind vacation for 3 weeks of the whole west coast. This hotel was a nice change from your typical hotel chains. I was so well cared for. The rooms were large, comfortable and super clean. We loved having a view of the garden through a picture window with a large pine tree... More

Stayed here for one night. Beds were extremely comfortable – always a big advantage. We also appreciated how quiet it was, despite being located not far from a freeway. The pool is huge and well-maintained and is an attractive area surrounded by acres of nice landscaping. The owners have clearly done a nice job refurbishing a 1950s hotel. Customer service was... My family of three stayed here July 25, 2015 because we had a reservation at the Visalia Marriott (see separate review), but it was oversold so the Marriott manager put us up at the Lamp Liter Inn. We stayed in one of the cottage rooms. It was a very large suite facing the pool. The bedroom had two queen beds.... More

Thank you for your review I am certain you were not in to good a mood to have found yourself moved to another hotel due to an overbooking situation. You mentioned the security window check-in and we do that for the security of the front desk clerk who works alone ..you checked in at about 10:45 p.m. and that is... More

My daughter, my two grandchildren and I spent two nights in the Lamp Lighter Inn. It was a great room and the price was fantastic!! Parking was very convenient and aside from a few people making some coming and going noise, the nights were very quiet. We enjoyed the pool during the hot afternoon. And since it was a quiet afternoon... More
