We stayed at the Lamp Liter Inn for one night and it was a great choice! It is certainly the best value hotel in Visalia – almost centrally located and conveniently close to the beautiful Sequoia National Park. The rooms in the hotel were clean and quite big, the bathroom was nice, everything was immaculate. In the morning we had... more

I spent two nights at the Lampliter. Once I identified myself as a business traveler they put me in one of the rooms in the back as the courtyard for the main part of the hotel is where the pool is. There was quite a bit of activity going on there and I was appreciative of the quiet room. The... more

We used Visalia as an overnight stay when driving from San Francisco to Las Vegas on Friday 13th March. We had no reservation and drove in to check on availability. We got a room at a really good rate and were more then happy with the room. It is you standard motel fare, however the room did seem larger then... more

After one of the longest days ever travelling from Cardiff to London then 11 hours on a plane then 4 hours in traffic from LA to Visalia - we weren't feeling too fussy about what the place was like but it was all brilliant! The reception was warm and welcoming with a lovely fire and very friendly service. The room... more

Here are some things we didn't like: Ice machine out of ice, room was dirty, fixtures were old looking and the room had a musty smell. Mattress snagged in the middle and we spent the entire night rolling into each other. It was very noisy and we woke up to horns honking at 6:00 am. This is what we did... more

For the money, one of the best deals ever! Older ,clean motel, with thick walls, so the rooms are very quiet. Landscaped very nice with vibrant green lawns, redwood trees, fruit trees, roses, ect. Park like atmosphere ! A Shuttle stops at the motel which takes you round trip to Sequoia National Park for only $15 ! You would pay much... more

We came here to attend a wedding, and didn't want to spend a whole lot. This hotel was low to medium priced, and I wasn't expecting much. Boy was I surprised! Very beautiful, well kept grounds with lush vegetation, and a large swimming pool. Room was large and clean, with a slider and a bench outside each room.Staff was very... more

My husband and I heard of a rockabilly show featuring Deke Dickerson being held at the Lamp Liter Inn. The Hotel/Inn offered extremely cheap rooms for the event. When we checked in the room was clean and spacious. The pool was beautiful and relaxing. The event was better than I expected. We danced the night away. The crowd was small... more

If all properties were as well managed and maintained as this one trip-advisor would have no one complaining. Everything shows pride of ownership. The grounds are lovely, the pool and room are clean and towels are big and fluffy. Our rate and room were both wonderful and we would be happy to return. We also enjoyed visiting the Vintage Press... more
