The Valley Ford Hotel is a wonderfully refurbished 1800s hotel that Shona and Brandon have carefully restored and maintain. It's apparent that they take pleasure in seeing that guests are comfortable and enjoy their visit. The setting is perfect for relaxing in the West Sonoma County hills. Bodega Bay with numerous sights and dining is only a 10-minute drive. We've already... More

We actually had a wonderful experience at valley ford hotel. The building is old and charming, but beautifully maintained with spotless rooms. A huge porch with rocking chairs greets you as you come up the steps. The door was locked, but a couple sitting in the chairs told us to check in at the bar. We greeted by a delightful... More

My wife and I had a single overnight stay at The Valley Ford Hotel en route down Route 101. It has been difficult to rate the Valley Ford as our experience was like no other we had had. We arrived at about 4 pm to find the hotel locked up with no signs of anyone but just before giving up... More

My husband and I stayed at the Valley Ford Hotel from Monday - Friday, the room was spotless, the bed linen lovely, the small touches very sweet. We loved the owners, they were very helpful and passionate about what they do. They have free coffee in the morning and purified water for your use. On weekends they have some lovely... More

Loved staying here so much heading back this week! I am taking a course in Valley Ford and truly enjoyed my stay at the hotel. It just feels like "home"! Lots of nice little touches like water glasses & carafes, apples right off the tree in the yard, shampoo, conditioner & body wash, wonderful bedding & towels and a nice... More

My family of four stayed at the Valley Ford Hotel recently and had a great experience. We met the owner and he was great, really helping us get around that part of wine country. We also had dinner at the on-site restaurant -amazing. This is a great restaurant that if in a big-city would be the hit of the town.... More

We stayed there one night with my kids during our trip in North California and we loved this hotel with its authentic room, hosts are very nice and rooms are comfortable and neat. No TV and breakfast on WE only.

We had a wonderful time on a Sunday night, arriving just as the excellent live music was wrapping up. The small but great wine and cocktail selection set us right for a good night's sleep! Then we settled into a comfy, large room with all mod cons and a great bed. After a few nights at a Motel 6, we... More

I would question using the word 'hotel' in the name 'Valley Ford Hotel' because it's really rooms above a restaurant. The restaurant is closed Monday thru Wednesday and the owners and staff members are not on site at this time. We received an email on the day of arrival telling us that the keys to our room would be left... More

The descriptions of the rooms were dead on. No, there's no TV, but they have free WiFi and an MP3 player in the room. They allow one night stays even on the weekends and during the busy summer months. A very relaxing place to spend a night or 2.
