I'm having trouble rating the Valley Ford Hotel, because it was good for what it is (a very small inn above a restaurant/bar) but it just wasn't what I was looking for on the day I arrived to stay a night before continuing my road trip to San Francisco. I'd planned my hotels ahead of time and taken a chance... More

We very much enjoyed our stay at Valley Ford. A bargain for the area, but a charming inn with complementary Kerig coffee all day, complementary breakfast, clean and bright rooms above a pub (that closes early so no disturbances for guests at night). Loved the two beautiful goats outside. A cute patio out back for breakfast or drinks during your... More

Great little inn nestled in a village surrounded by beautiful countryside about 10 minutes inland from Bodega Bay. No frills but charming in a rural/rustic way. Nice continental breakfast (scones, granola, yogurt, hard boiled eggs). Excellent dinner at the restaurant downstairs.

Our second time staying here. We love it! Its quaint, clean and close to the Bay Area, yet it still feels like a getaway. There is little to do at VFH other than sleep unless Rocker Oysterfellers is open downstairs, but that is only Thursday through Sunday, so we head to the coast 10 minutes away for the perfect oyster... I came here to get away from a hectic week in San Francisco, spur of the moment. I drove up through Petaluma, through the lovely countryside populated by dairy farms and arrived around 5. You go to the bar of the restaurant to pick up your keys, and then upstairs to the rooms, furnished in an overall style that seems... More

What an unexpected pleasure! The Valley Ford Hotel sits in a tiny town near Bodega Bay. There is a bar and an excellent restaurant called Rockers Oysterfellar on the first floor with five rooms upstairs. The hotel is classically old and is a truly wonderful place. The rooms have a lovely Shaker simplicity, with everything you need and would want... More

The Valley Ford Hotel is a wonderfully refurbished 1800s hotel that Shona and Brandon have carefully restored and maintain. It's apparent that they take pleasure in seeing that guests are comfortable and enjoy their visit. The setting is perfect for relaxing in the West Sonoma County hills. Bodega Bay with numerous sights and dining is only a 10-minute drive. We've already... More

We actually had a wonderful experience at valley ford hotel. The building is old and charming, but beautifully maintained with spotless rooms. A huge porch with rocking chairs greets you as you come up the steps. The door was locked, but a couple sitting in the chairs told us to check in at the bar. We greeted by a delightful... More

My wife and I had a single overnight stay at The Valley Ford Hotel en route down Route 101. It has been difficult to rate the Valley Ford as our experience was like no other we had had. We arrived at about 4 pm to find the hotel locked up with no signs of anyone but just before giving up... More

My husband and I stayed at the Valley Ford Hotel from Monday - Friday, the room was spotless, the bed linen lovely, the small touches very sweet. We loved the owners, they were very helpful and passionate about what they do. They have free coffee in the morning and purified water for your use. On weekends they have some lovely... More
