Great man - the Admiral and his fleet. Peter, you're a man's man. Hard working to the core. Attention to specifics and detail that doesn't go unnoticed. Those electric boats were something to behold and what a fun way to enjoy the beauty of the 'truly' Blue Lakes. Pet friendly, people friendly, great rooms, a free breakfast that rivals or... More

We have been on the road for three weeks from Colorado, heading for the Redwood Forest. Clear Lake is in the area, so we decided to drive through here, and found The Lodge over TripAdvisor. It seems to be newly renovated, our room was cozy, freshly painted, sheets crisp...like a super expensive B & B. Room size was perfect for... More

This place can't be beat. Clear water, lots of outdoor stuff to do, clean and comfortable rooms. The staff couldn't have been nicer. We will go back here! The owners talked with us several times to make sure we had everything we needed. Even brought us champagne on the dock. Free breakfast too. Hidden gem in California!

It is rare in today's day and age to actually meet the owners of an establishment face to face and have them go out of their way to make certain you are pleased and have everything you need. It didn't matter if we forgot our dog's water dish, they are pet friendly and were able to accommodate my forgetfulness; whether... More

Upon arrival they did not have record of my reservations, just the one I had cancelled via Booking.com (I had to cancel and rebook, because our travel date changed by one day, so when I rebooked I booked directly through their website so I could reserve a lakeside room), but luckily there were vacancies and we were still able to... Absolutely beautiful picturesque postcard setting with lake & evergreen mountain backdrop. Amazing hosts with accommodating, professional wait staff. First class service. Wonderful event center for wedding, party, family gathering, BBQ, etc. Boating, swimming, fishing on lake right out your room. Perfectly maintained. Rooms have that country charm, but are impeccable. Full breakfast & kayak included. Maryann & Peter are the... More

We were very happy with our lake view room. The accommodations were clean, and the service was what made it so nice. The owners Peter and Maryanne are constantly working and cleaning so the place reflects their vigilant attention. I have a few complaints about some of the uncaring guests and day users, but there isn't any control over irresponsible... More

The sky and lake were blue the day we stayed and the weather a perfect summer morning. We were happy to watch the ducks and appreciated the graciousness of Peter the owner and the seemingly happy gals who work here. It's over-priced, however, for the oldish but nicely decorated 40's size vacation lodging even if the back door at the... More
