Our visit to the Tallman was 1st rate all the way. Beautiful, thoughtful accommodations with nothing overlooked. Excellent continental breakfast and genuine and caring staff. They even were able to print my Fishing License which I had forgotten at home! Dinner at the Blue Wing was a definite highlight. What luck to have stumbled onto Blue Mondays with a rollicking... more

The town isn't much but the Tallman Hotel is worth the trip. It's stepping back into the old west. We stayed in the historic house (only 4 rooms in the main house). The attention to detail (even in rebuilding the house) was perfect for a B&B. Breakfast is Continental (not a hot breakfast) but certainly enough. Everyone was extremely friendly... more

We spent two nights at the Tallman Hotel over Memorial Day weekend. From the moment we set foot in the beautiful hotel lobby which is full of gorgeous antiques and overstuffed, tasteful furniture, we knew we were staying in a very special & elegant place. We were personally shown to our room, which was one of the upstairs garden rooms... more

We went to Upper Lake for my husband's birthday getaway and for Easter. We hoped to be able to have fun on the lake at Clear Lake, but it turned out to be a bit too cool that weekend for that. Our room was just gorgeous. We stayed in Room #2 in the main building. It was stunning when we... more

My family had the opportunity to go to Upper Lake and stay at the Tallman Hotel for some meetings! What an amazing experience that we did not want to end!!! Every attention to detail is perfect! We have a toddler and even he loved the property and the staff made sure all our needs were met! The owners did a... more

I had toured the Tallman Hotel about a year ago while on a trip traveling through the area. I was very impressed and had hoped to return someday for a stay with my husband. As luck would have it I was invited to a meeting which happened to be held at the Tallman Hotel so I jumped at the chance.... more

My husband and I had a much needed weekend to relax at the Tallman. We checked in on a Saturday afternoon and didn't get back in our car until we left Monday. With the Blue Moon right there next to the hotel (right in front of our room actually), there was no need to drive anywhere. The food was wonderful,... more

This is such a lovely, restored historic hotel. We hope the rest of the little town of Upper Lake follows its example. This is our second time to stay here so this time we choose an upstairs historic room. It was very luxurious and you will feel so pampered! Good restaurant right outside your door too. Being that we are... more

We stayed here on a trip to explore Lake County wine country and were very pleasantly surprised. This is a beautiful old hotel that has been very nicely renovated. The rooms are generous, with high ceilings and tall windows and an inviting veranda. There is lovely tile work in the bathroom, which has a large footed tub as well as... more

The Tallman Hotel is one of the best hotels I have stayed at in quite some time. From the moment we arrived until we reluctantly checked out, it was pure heaven. The entire property and staff had a refined, but relaxed feeling. The property itself felt timeless. When we checked in, I was quite parched from sitting in a construction... more
