The best hotel in Lake County! We've gone to the Tallman hotel on several occasions and have been extremely pleased with everything. more
I echo everything the other reviewers have said; the Tallman Hotel is beautifully restored and a lovely getaway. The owners clearly care a lot about keeping a very clean and comfortable establishment. What detracted from the experience was the setting. There just isn't a lot going on in Lake County. There are a couple of wineries, a couple of restaurants,... more
Date: February 19, 2008 Pulling up to the historic Tallman Hotel on Main Street in Upper Lake County is like stepping back in time. This country hotel, built in the 1890’s, is certainly the best lodging option in Lake County. The 17 room luxury facility offers high speed internet with a computer available to guests in the lobby. I purposely... more
It was a showery January Sunday evening when we arrived in Upper Lake, to find a double rainbow arched over the town and our accomodations, the Tallman Inn. You don't want to pass the Tallman up for a romantic off season weekend away. We took them up on the Lover's package with the geyser tub, Room 11. First, you find... more
Had a fantastic experience with the Tallman Hotel. Room was probably the cleanest room I have ever stayed in. Very comfy, loved the furnishings. Stayed in an upper garden room overlooking the saloon next door. It was very nice to have our own veranda. It was quiet, maybe due to slow time of year but I would stay here anytime.... more
This place is a total find. Inexpensive, utterly cushy. Great amenities, the likes of which you usually find at luxury resort hotels. All in a small town package. Keeping this review short due to time but I can state flat out that this is one of the best little hotels I've ever stayed in. Going back for sure! One note... more
After reading all the positive reviews on TripAdvisor, my wife and I decided to try the Tallman Hotel. When we entered the suite, we were very pleased. However, that feeling did not last long. First, the wireless internet did not work in our room. Second, the phone to call the front desk did not work, Third, the heater took two... more
We stayed in a lower garden room with our own private Japanese teak Ofuro soaking tub. The room itself was very nice, spacious and well appointed. I especially liked the Moulton Brown bath products. The aforementioned soaking tub was absolutely wonderful--the wood gives off a great natural scent and the water felt great. The service at the hotel was professional... more
We stayed at the Tallman House on 9/4/2007. We arrived early afternoon and were greeted very friendly. We stayed in a lower garden room; Room # 7. This room has a small front porch with two chairs and a table and a private deck in the back with lounge chairs, sun umbrella, a soaking tub and an outside shower. The... more
