For those of you coming to pretty much any part of Southern California for the first time, you have to understand that things here are more expensive. If you want to spend the same amount on a low-to-mid level motel that you would in most other states, you are going to have to make some compromises or start thinking about spending over $100 per night. This Super 8 in Upland is a perfect example of the compromise one must make in an area where (for example) a $30 room at a Motel 6 anywhere else often costs twice that here.
I required this room on a Friday night as my nearby home needed some renovations. As I almost always do, I used the hotel's Web site to make my reservation and had no problems navigating through Super 8's Internet home (also as usual). At check-in, the staff was chatty and friendly and made me feel very welcome and appreciated.
This Super 8 is on the south side of the street that runs just above and parallel to I-10 (or, as we call it here...
