What a fabulous place to stay. Great to find a place so near Avebury, as public transport users this was wonderful as the 49 bus stops just down the road. The kids stayed in " White Horse " and loved the pictures. We stayed in "Avebury", gorgeous. The map provided means you can walk to Avebury avoiding the main roads,... More

We interrupted Simon at the last set of his Wimbledon match when we arrived. He was extremely welcoming and a fantastic host who has refurbished Isobel Cottage really nicely. It was everything a top notch B&B should be, warm, welcoming, very clean, very homely and very personal. Everything was functioning perfectly. Breakfast was served in a beautiful breakfast room and... More

Thank you so much. We hope the rest of your holiday went well. Alas, we have to say that Megan, our 12 yr old chocolate brown field spaniel sadly died in July and is much missed. A successor will no doubt appear at some point in time. More

From the first moment Catherine answered the door to welcome us, to the wonderful breakfast the following morning and our departure, we were absolutely delighted with every single part of our experience at the Beckhampton bed and breakfast. Located perfectly for a 20 minute or so country walk to the centre of Avebury, with a great pub opposite, there is... More

Very friendly and helpful owners: provided lifts to and from local gastro pub and up to start of Ridgeway walk the following morning. Comfortable rooms and excellent breakfasts, including home made bread and jams/marmalade. Loved the jigsaw puzzle on the landing! There is a hot tub which we didn't sample - certainly would if we visit again.

Thank you for your kind review. We always offer walkers a lift up to two miles to the start of their walk usually Overton Hill for the Ridgeway. Although not far, the walk down the A4 is so dangerous as no footpath......Wiltshire Council note! More

Isobel Cottage is a charming B&B in a beautiful setting. Simon and Catherine are warm and engaging and were very helpful suggesting restaurants and giving walking directions. It's a very pleasant 20-minute walk to Avebury, and it's so nice to see the sight without having to negotiate the car park. Our room couldn't have been more comfortable, complete with a... More

My wife and I were in need of a place to stay near Avebury and had the good fortune to be directed by another local business to Beckhampton B&B. The facility is both charming and immaculate; the location is superb, being within easy walking distance of the Avebury World Heritage Site; the breakfast is served with panache, and the host,... My wife, son, and I spent our first night on vacation in the U.K. at Beckhampton. The gracious hosts sent us a suggested routing from our arrival point in Southampton which took us on back roads through countryside we would have missed on the main thoroughfare. What a thoughtful and smart service! The décor in each room had a theme... More

We only spent one night on our way to the airport, but it was such a beautiful house and the bathroom was amazing! Katie packed us a wonderful to-go breakfast so that we could get to the airport on time. It is well worth a stop and was very convenient for Avebury and a great dinner at a nearby pub... More

This B&B is a great location for walking the Ridgeway and exploring Avebury: it's just across the road from the coach stop for the National Express from London, and a footpath and minor roads lead to the remains of the Beckhampton stone avenue to Avebury (the hosts provided a postcard map for the walking route). The hosts are very friendly... More
